Hello all! I was wondering what everyone thought the going rate for a 3 cell Graflex is? I have one I'm looking at and seriously looking at buying. Or should I wait until the until the TFA storm clears? The only issue with this is the top has some wear

I would wait until the storm clears if it's over $350. You gotta remember prices were under $250 a year ago. They may never get that low again, but $700-800 is very inflated.

I got one for $85 a year ago.... Wait. I admit that was a good price, but in the mid 90s I got them for $30 or less, all the time. Whilethey won't likely go down that low anytime soon, the prices now, are ridiculous.

Thank you both, yeah $550 just seems a little steep to me, unless its New Old Stock, in the box, pristine (or close to it)

I just got one on Craigslist for $250 so they are out there at normal prices. It was already converted but needs to be redone. Only has five t tracks. I'd like to add electronics but am a bit lost.

I would wait until the storm clears. Unless you can find one at a yard sale or something like that, you won't find one for a reasonable price.

I was lucky enough to get mine for $40 at an estate sale a few weeks ago. Definitely check craigslist and antique shops.

Yea, I've never paid over 1-200 for a graflex, and refuse to. The market will die down eventually. MPPs used to be sold for 10 bucks a pop off some website a long time ago, so the price of flashes relies heavily on supply and demand.

I hate to say it, but I think there's a lot of wishing going on in these statements that "the storm will blow over." In case anyone missed it, this flashgun just returned in a major story point in the highest grossing movie of all time, and has become the saber used by the new central character of the saga. That's kind-of a big deal.

I'm sorry, but a whole new generation of people will be looking for one for the next 40 years. Prices are going to be nuts for quite some time.

You should possibly invest in replicas. I managed to pick up my vintage Graflex right at the beginning of the inflation time frame for right under 400. I thought it was bad then, but it's a super nice, pretty mint Graflex so I made myself compromise. Nowadays, the Graflex 2.0 runs and Romans Graflex run are probably your best bet at getting a nice replica for $200. Plus with how build friendly they are, it's way better for those looking to do electronics and stuff in their sabers.
