Things you're tired of seeing in movies

Every time I am yelling at the tv "You dumb*ss! He's talking and closing the distance, shoot his *ss!" and they never listen.
Yes so very aggravating. And sometimes they shoot someone once and they fall, but they don't finish with a headshot. As they step over the body, the target grabs their leg. At that point I'm like, yeah you deserve to die, you dumba#$ !

That's the problem with the modern TikTok generation. If something isn't happening every second, they get bored and go elsewhere. Stories need time to unfold. Characters need time to develop. It's why modern movies have become such CGI-fests, because they're looking to keep people entertained and the second that the audience loses interest, even for a second, they're off to a different channel.

It's not the movies, it's the audience.
That's because they are a bunch of sensates: they live only to sense/ experience feelings, sensations and pleasures (aka hedonites).

Which reminds me: what I'm tired of seeing in movies?

anything WOKE.

What about when they shoot/knock someone out and leave their weapon, if they have one, so that when they recover they are still armed and come after them. If they do that they deserve whatever happens to them. At least toss it away or something.

That drives me crazy, especially in any post-apocalyptic or horror movie. They ought to be carrying around a dozen guns, just in case, but no, they leave them all behind and then run out of ammo the second they need it the most.

What always gets me is when the hero gets their gun by killing a goon or henchmen. But whenever they kill any more, they never take any of the dead goon's spare mags or at least the one from their weapon. Do screenwriters not play RPGs, first thing you do after every kill is to loot the body. :p

I don't think screenwriters do much of anything except make up absurd story lines that have no basis in reality and make sense to anyone besides themselves.

That's why I liked John Wick and The Walking Dead (up to when they let Negan live). The latter did good until the writers decided to go all anti-gun and act like they couldn't find guns or find/make ammo.

You know a show is bad when you start rooting for the main characters to die because they are so stupid.

Sounds like they went to the opposite extreme of the earlier seasons where both guns and ammo were super plentiful. It was also stupid in how good of a shot everybody was, at least all of the "good guys". Most of them had little to no firearms training prior to the zombie apocalypse yet they run and gun like they're John Wick or some spec ops trooper. Hell, they're even better since they're able to make headshots left and right, under all sorts of circumstances.

Yea I'm watching the last season now, and man, they just get dumber and dumber. They've seen people wearing armored suits, hell Glenn wears armor for a couple of seasons. What they can't find any sporting goods stores. You could fashion armor from sheet metal and leather. As for making a place zombie proof. Just find a sky scraper, clear out the few zombies there, and then keep the first floor guarded, 24/7. The prison was good too. Just lock yourself in at night like Otis from Andy Griffith, lol. I guess the excuse for the constant stupidity is for suspense reasons, but can't they be a little more subtle. Oh well, it will be over soon for me, and I'll just watch the first couple of seasons again. The smashing of Glenn's head almost killed it for me. That was just too much.

I think this should sum it all up:

I did that very early on in the show. At the very beginning of the 4th season, we realized that we not only didn't care if the humans lived or died, we were actively hoping that the walkers got them. That's when we stopped watching.

Yeah; when the walkers become more welcome than the "main characters", you know the series not only jumped the shark, but the whole blasted ocean the shark was swimming in!
