Watching Castle last night it reminded of two things you always see in Hollwood.
People tucking guns inside their waist band, either in an appendix carry or in the small of their back. Does no one in Hollywood believe in holsters? What's worse was that in Castle it was Beckett tucking a gun in her waistband, you'd think that a police captain, of all people, would know better and actually holster her weapon considering that it was almost certainly her weapon and not just something she picked up since she was in her office at the time.
The other thing that's annoying to see, or more like hear, is the super quiet pew, pew of a suppressor. Once again, in the last episode of Castle I was reminded of how little Hollywood understands guns. A suppressor is not that quiet, with a few exceptions, it doesn't make a gun whisper quiet, certainly not so quiet that a shot fired in a part of house (or in this case a loft) won't be heard in another room, with the door open. Although I've never actually heard a suppressed weapon fired in person before but I know enough to know that they're not that quiet and at best your neighbors might not hear the shots (if you're in a single family home or a loft like Castle lives in) but it's definitely going to be heard inside the whole loft/house.
