Things you're tired of seeing in movies

Probably mentioned in 300 plus pages, but people on a computer who enhance pics or video that one, is not high enough quality to pull the detail, but tbey still do, and two, they always do it by frantically typing. The mouse is never used.

Undercover people who constantly touch their ear pieces and are painfully obvious in their tail of a bad guy. I watched that series Obliterated on Netflix and these guys were supposed to be THE top tier operators and they acted like amateurs.
I think the whole touching the ear piece is a misunderstanding of what people were doing back when these ear pieces were just ear pieces and the mic was actually around the wrist. So the agent/cop holds their hand up to their mouth, which caused some writers and directors to think that they were touching their ears to talk. There's probably also some cases where the actor is doing that because they're supposed to pressing the ear piece against their ear more in order to hear better., once again causing some writers and directors to think that these ear pieces are push to talk.

As a Photoshop user for decades, I can tell you 100% that there's an absolute limit to how much you can enhance an image and it's largely dependent on resolution. And a crappy low-res security game isn't going to provide you with a crystal clear image no matter how much you try to enhance it.

I figure these ear pieces are maybe like a walkie-talkie. Maybe you have to actually push a button on it to transmit when you talk. Seems totally outdated, but at least that makes a little sense.

But why does James McAvoy, as Professor X, have to tap his temple? IDK.

That's where his OnStar™ button is. :p

Exactly; you only have so much to work with, which is why it's easier to reduce a larger image down to a lower resolution than to blow up a smaller one to higher resolution.

You get the pixels you get; there isn't anything "hidden" in them. no matter how hard you shake'em.

My favorite was security cam footage from maybe 2010 where they took a single frame and were able to pull a bad guys face from a reflection in someone elses retina....just no bleeping way unless they were using 128k video (which is still several years away).

The recent trend in naming conventions. Here are a few:

Aquaman: Lost Kingdom

Godzilla v Kong: New Empire

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

The Last Kingdom

I swear, the titles have to be some evidence that these scripts are AI generated. I'm sure The Last of the Kingdom: Final Empire: Realm of the New World has been shot down a few times now.

One might get the impression that Hollywood has no idea what an “empire” or “kingdom “ is…
