Things you're tired of seeing in movies

The sound of drinking from a straw when there's only a few drops left being used for drinking from a straw when there is plenty of liquid left. A full cup doesn't go sippy/gurgle!

People open the refrigerator door and stand there looking for several minutes. Then they walk to the bar or table and leave the door wide open. Sometimes they place a gallon of milk on the table and eat their cereal with the jug there the whole time. I know it's an ocd thing that I have in real life. They wonder why their electric bill is so high, and their milk sours before the expire date, LoL.

Bikes are actually a terrible idea in apocalypses or zombie settings. the roads and paths are geneerally not clear at all, and trying to navigate a bike on rough terrain is an exercise in when you will fall and injure yourself, not if you will fall and injure yourself. injury. slow and steady beats a broken leg.
Depends on the bike of course...but it always makes me laugh when I see some survivors driving the big gas guzzler in an apocalyptic world.
Where are you gonna get that gas? At least, the bike doesn't need any; only human power... ;)

Some are better, sure, but you break one bone or get even a bad scrape in a post modern medical world, and it could easily cause your demise.
Get a had cart and walk.

Well I don't know about you, but I'm getting my first Ferrari during the apocalypse! (and there are real Ferrari's in Ohio, I've seen them!)

I'm tired of seeing people getting hit in the head with rifle butts and being knocked out like it's a simple 'off switch' for the brain. Knocking someone out with a blow to the head (or in any other way) without intending to cause severe harm or death is a very difficult thing to do. Heck, knocking someone out without caring if you cause brain damage or death is tough enough.
And even if you do manage to get the 'sweet spot' of knocking someone out, they come to at exactly the moment you're waiting for them, and they then have all their faculties? That's just nuts.

This is just like how tranqs are depicted in Hollywood. Whether it's a short or dart, tranquilizers start to work almost immediately and the person delivering the tranq always has the exact dose for whatever the target is, sometimes for multiple targets of different sizes and weights. The reality is that tranqs are highly reliant on the size and weight of the target, not enough the target just gets a bit sluggish or takes a long time to fall asleep, too much and your target is taking a permanent nap.

Yeah, script writers love to write in easy "off swtiches" for people. Just like in war movies, someone fires one round generally at the enemy and they go down without anyone even looking to see if they're wounded. I've seen a few people have something happen to them that you'd bet killed them, only to have them stand up a moment later without any ill effect.

Not trying to be argumentative but do you watch UFC or been in a fight? The back of the head and behind the ear or straight on the temple will almost always switch off the lights,as the brain is bouncing off the skull from inside. If done right a person can be knocked out on their feet and “freeze” before they hit the ground.Even in football a few helmet to helmet collision has knocked people out.

At the same time, P51 wasn't talking about knocking people out with fists, kicks, or running into them really hard. He was specifically talking about doing it using some sort of weapon and doing so without causing serious brain injury, or death, in the process.

Or it only effects certain people like in TPM when Qui-Gon gets run through by Maul and he dies but in OWK series Inquisitor gets run through lives and Reva gets it twice and walks it off like nothing.Must be a Sith privilege thing.

Now I'm just waiting for some show or movie do something ridiculous with an EV like having people charge one using just a single small solar panel, some random batteries. or a bike. And knowing how screenwriters think, they'll be able to used these crazy, and probably non-functional, methods of charging to charge their cars in a fraction of the time it would take using a proper charger.

My bad, totally misread that.Yeah that is almost impossible not to cause harm or death.
Props for admitting that. We've all reacted to something online without reading it all (I've done it many times).
As for if I'd ever been in a fight, you can't imagine some of the fights I've been in. They've involved fists, anything large/heavy I could grab, and firearms. I've sent people to the ground more than once in various states of disrepair, but never where they unconscious once they hit the ground.
I've seen people dropped in a few different ways, but never from a single blow to the front of the head. That said, my father told me that my (WW1 vet) grandfather dropped a man right where he stood like a sack of [poop] for the guy calling Grandpa a "SOB," which was quite an insult back then in that place (the Blue Ridge mountains).
