Thin foam latex prosthetic fix?

I bought a defective planet of the apes foam latex appliance. There is one section by the eye/side of the nose that is very thin (translucent in some spots). I was thinking I could brush on some foam latex till I get a good thickness, but I havent a clue what to do.
