Thickness of leather on ammo pouches

Hi folks,

can those of you that have a leather ammo pouch (any leather ammo pouch, ) at hand take the caliper and measure the thick of the leather ?

I am not sure what leather to get to make some custom pouches.

Which type of pouch are you looking at? Jedi pouches I would use 5-6oz leather cause I like to wet mold, if your looking at a basic belt pouch like a Batman or Luke (Farm boy) you could go 6-7 or slightly thicker. Hope that helps.
