The wolf hot toys figure

TJM's signature doesn't really show heads that are vastly out of proportion, they fit the bodies right, yes, different angles produce different visuals. In the picture that Moloch posted of the HT doll and the actual film suit, the mask is facing us the same way. The top portion of the mask is too big and it's not curved like a dome the way the movie mask is, the face/front portion of the mask itself is too small.

Same thing looking at TJM's signature again since you're using that as an example, notice their heads aren't flat and straight up like a board, their dome heads curve back so their heads don't look as big. The ones with their heads tilted downward are still not vastly out of proportion either. The HT doll, when looking at it head on combines the top angle view and the face to face angle view, thus his head looks huge. The Wolf's mask in the movie, as bold as his forehead is, the mask still has an angled curve and the actual front, or 'face' part of the mask evens out with the top 'forehead' part.

I hate to sound petty by mentioning these small points, but they serve to make his head a lot bigger than it should be. The movie version has fuller proportions, but when I look at the HT doll all I can think is 'Kid Predator'. We can all see he's lean bodied, but they should have fleshed him out a bit more, body is too thin, the head looks off/too big.

For 100+ dollars you'd think they can get the things right, don't even get me started on the paint job for that price....yeesh.

Well I guess it's a good thing you didn't get one then. I think they did a helluva job on this figure and it's hard to tell from pictures and my final judgment will be when it's in my hand. Afterall some of the pictures of the P2 Elder didn't look great...but that figure was awesome! So we'll see.

Actually I'm going to agree with you the Elder came out nice, but I wasn't a fan of the sub par paint job on the actual body, I just can't shell out that kind of money for a doll. Funny enough I though the HT P2 Elder looked good in the promos. I like the proportions and the sculpt was pretty good.

On the other hand, judging from the official promo shots and the actual product pictures, the Wold Pred sucks as bad as the originals from the AVP line they did.

Alright, well I suppose we agree to disagree. This thread is bizarre. Bensin, once again you eloquently illustrate your point. I totally agree and I was laughing while reading it. Gofourindian, you obviously feel very strongly about your love for the HT. We sound like we are debating politics. This is not politics.

THIS IS THE SIZE OF AN ACTION FIGURES HEAD.

I am guilty of it too, hell I posted pictures. But, this is just getting hysterical. Thought i would point of the ridiculousness that is this thread still continuing for so long.

If you read the first post this thread was and is about the Hot Toys Wolf Predator from AVPR due out soon. The person who posted the thread obviously was excited about it's release, as many of us are. Then your boy Bensin here decided it would be fun to chime in and crap all over this guys thread for grins and giggles. And nobody replied with anything figuring, OK this guy don't like 'em and gave his opinion. So no problems right?....no. He has to come back and spout more of this sarcastic nonsense. And yes, he is sarcastic and it comes thru like a shining beacon. Obviously, he was looking for a discussion (and I use that term loosely) or to get a rise out of someone. So he got one....mission accomplished. Then what do you know you come along...his posse, his backup, his partner.... his stooge. You call this thread ridiculous? it wasn't...until you 2 came trolling. It's sad the need for some people to try and crap on other peoples excitement and attempt to bring them down.

You don't like it, that's OK...don't wanna buy it, that's OK as well. You voiced your opinion...great ...now go troll elsewhere and let the people who like 'em enjoy 'em.

Do I have to put your guys in a time out??? Keep this civil please and stop the petty bickering. Thats the kind of thing that we Lair peeps HATE. You guys are arguing over a piece of PLASTIC for crying out loud!!!

Back to the topic...the size of Wolf's head.

Ok...which head is bigger? Wolf or P2? I'm betting that they will be very close to the same or the Wolf will be slightly bigger.

Now, with that said, if the Wolf head is in fact bigger, the proportions would make sense.

I've found that my HT Elder is just perfect in size. The head seems just right. I also think that the Wolf is going to be right on track and not oversized. Looking at the HT pics of Wolf it looks like the head might SEEM bigger because they have the head tilted forward which of course would make for a larger looking head. I guess we gotta wait to see someone post pics...

Those last two pics are really cool, I only have one gripe with the figure though, in all the pics I've seen, he doesn't have the Cleaner case, oh well, I'm still really excited about this, his space on my Detolf Pred shelf has been reserved for a couple of months now, it'll be a great day when he stands in his spot...

Well, after looking at every pic I could find, I'm excited for Wolf to show up.

IMO the head is perfect, don't forget people, this bad ass Predator wears far less armor than any other.

Who needs it when you've been killing for centuries

Wolf looks great don't he!?!???
PredatrHuntr those pics were taken from a Japanese website and put on Sideshow Freaks. They looked good so I thought I'd share them here. I think these are the best pics I've seen of him so far...posed great.

Siccx I'm not sure about the cleaner kit being included. But I'm sure HT's will put it out with another version! :D

Simmer down, tiger.

:D

That combo guy looks super!

I for one cannot wait for my Wolf. He will be a welcome addition for my set.
I must admit however, I am a bit perturbed at his not having the cleaner case. That's his reason for being there, to be a cleaner. Sorta misses the point.
Wonder how long it will be before cast copies of the kit show up for us Hot Toys collectors to scarf up....

Welcome Les! I don't understand the cleaner kit missing from this kit either. It probably will be included in some Battle damaged Wold release down the line.
I have a couple of Wolfs coming from Cornerstore collectibles and emailed them tonight trying to get some idea when they were going to get them.

On the subject of the Cleaner kit, or lack there of check out this pic...

Now look at the middle, do you see that hole between the right Plasma Caster and the backpack? That's a connector peg hole for the Cleaner kit, it kinda pisses me off a bit that it's pretty certain Hot Toys will be releasing a kit in some later edition with I'm betting a screaming/roaring face sculpt with the mandibles flared out and everything, and the loin cloth being plastic does kind of bother me a bit too, I'm still getting mine and am pretty excited about it, but it's just these small details that piss me off. ****, thanks Hot Toys, thanks for screwing us out of one of the key elements of the character just so you can milk as much money from collectors as you can, the evidence is right there, there's a damn connector hole for the Cleaner kit, one more thing, Hot Toys, where the **** are my Lost Hunters? I know I'm not the only one itching at the palms like a crack addict wanting some Lost Hunter action from HT...
