TJM's signature doesn't really show heads that are vastly out of proportion, they fit the bodies right, yes, different angles produce different visuals. In the picture that Moloch posted of the HT doll and the actual film suit, the mask is facing us the same way. The top portion of the mask is too big and it's not curved like a dome the way the movie mask is, the face/front portion of the mask itself is too small.
Same thing looking at TJM's signature again since you're using that as an example, notice their heads aren't flat and straight up like a board, their dome heads curve back so their heads don't look as big. The ones with their heads tilted downward are still not vastly out of proportion either. The HT doll, when looking at it head on combines the top angle view and the face to face angle view, thus his head looks huge. The Wolf's mask in the movie, as bold as his forehead is, the mask still has an angled curve and the actual front, or 'face' part of the mask evens out with the top 'forehead' part.
I hate to sound petty by mentioning these small points, but they serve to make his head a lot bigger than it should be. The movie version has fuller proportions, but when I look at the HT doll all I can think is 'Kid Predator'. We can all see he's lean bodied, but they should have fleshed him out a bit more, body is too thin, the head looks off/too big.
For 100+ dollars you'd think they can get the things right, don't even get me started on the paint job for that price....yeesh.
