That did not take long.
I wonder how many were available today?

Received the invitation at 10:18am. Attempted to buy at 11:14am.
Sold out.

I was about ten minutes after the email and nada.

My email came in at 10:16. By 10:19 I had my order completed and the tricorder will be delivered between 4:00am and 8:00am TOMORROW! Whoo Hooo!!! It's been a long 5 years. I can't wait. My real life exploration set is now complete.

I was able to get my order in just before they sold out. Right after I placed my order I showed the Amazon page to my wife and it said currently unavailable. So I must have been one of the last ones to get one.

Now, of course because I’m obsessive, I’ll be updating my order page to see when ships.

Within 11minutes they were gone….Thanks for “Trying” … datz rich!

Fortunately I lucked out and snagged two from the initial 200 “Ooops”…..

Don’t fret …. I’m not buying more. With the cost of two Tricorder’s and soon two Science Scanners…that brings it close to $1K…. Datz enough for me. I’m not in it for profit….I’m a Collector..for God’s sakes

Seems maybe two thirds here got an order in and most buying at least two.

When stock is this tight, I could see even if you were able to order one, you may not get it due to an error. I don't understand why Prime delivery is 7-10 days when its usually 2 days or less. In my experience, what happens in that case, is they miss the delivery date and just keep extending it one day at a time. I've had times where the item actually never comes and I have to cancel and reorder it.

I saw the email saying I could buy my tricorder pop up and I ordered within 90 seconds on Amazon.
It looked like it went through and then I got the "unavailable" message from Amazon.

As I have said before, not sure I believe this will ever actually come to pass.

Why sell through amazon? Why not just buy from the company? What is the point of the "wait list" if they do not have the stock at the MOMENT they tell you to buy it.

Nothing about this makes any sense to me.

That's not what happened. I received my invitation a little after 11 am EST, and was able to buy it immediately (I think I must have sent in one of the earliest registrations). And has been noted elsewhere in this forum, TWC has made it clear that restocking the next batch will go much faster.

Why Amazon? Why not? The screwup was mainly caused by our little Tariff Surprise and the length of time it took Amazon to load stock in the first wave, neither of which could have been anticipated by the Wand Company.

TWC has promised there will be more stock very soon, and I see no reason not to believe them.

I received the Wand invite today at 11:17 AM EST. Checkout through Amazon was completed at 11:27 AM, and the package is scheduled to arrive next Monday. Total = $421 shipped. I only ordered one because that's all I want/need.

some kind of one per customer/address or something at first would have been nice, these emails where you must act instantly coming during the morning scramble midweek of people going about their lives isn't great either.

Well it was out of stock when I clicked. I'm not too heart broken. I was see sawing if I should get it or not. Lol. It is what it is. Congrats to those who got it..I'm sure they will do a restock.
