The Walking Dead - Season 6 Discussion

so Morgan hesitated killing his wife who in turn killed his son

He hesitated killing the walker forcing Eastman to step in a get bit

He failed to kill the wolves he met and they went on to find the pictures of Alexandria and got a lot of other people killed

He let the guy go who almost kills Rick

Now he still has a guy who is most likely going to kill even more people when he gets loose

Way to go Morgan

Yuppers, don't forget about red riding hood. Body count is gonna be tight between Gabriel & Morgan.

I was disappointed that this was the big MEGA episode they were advertising. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. IT was very slow-paced compared to how it was advertised and talked up to be.

Exactly. Who knew Morgan would turn out to be a bigger putz than Eugene?? :lol

Has Walking Dead peaked? Was the encounter at Terminus the high point for this show? We've been watching since season 1 and this is the first time I question why I am still watching?
There is something about how the story line is being stretched that doesn't smell right to me. I am not against pacing, flashbacks, or character development at all but this season has been a stinker since that first ludicrous idea of pulling those walkers from the pit while simultaneously ignoring everything about the Wolves. When did the writing go bad?

When is enough enough? Does the show intend to catch up to the comics? Are we expected to sit through 10 seasons of this group of survivors going from compound to compound?

Maybe it is time to flash forward to Carl as an old man sitting on a porch somewhere with a shotgun in his hand staring off into the wooded distance as a blurry figure (human, undead??) approaches.. fade to black.

as soon as I saw the cage I knew Eastman was psychotic and needed to die.
he was a happy kind of psycho but crazy as a bag of flea ridden rabid cats what the hell was he planning a "pilgrimage" he did not even know where to .
he taught Morgan well

Steven Seagal used Aikido yet almost everyone ends up dead . lol

I'm also a member of the minority here who thoroughly enjoyed this episode, I thought it was very well done and explained a lot. I had no problems with the length, I didn't even realize that it was an extended episode and I'm kind of glad that it was, if it was just a regular 1 hour episode it might have felt rushed, making us wonder how Morgan could go from crazed psychotic to man of peace in such a short amount of time.

The only thing that I didn't care for this episode was how what's his name got bitten, has anyone in this show gotten bitten but the bite not gotten through the clothes? It seems like to me that every bite is a nasty one no matter how briefly the walker made contact with its victim. A walker could only have had half a second of contact with a victim and it's still able to deliver a full bite, given that humans don't exactly have fangs or particularly sharp teeth I'd think that it would take a little more effort to get through even a t-shirt and then to actually break the skin. Has there ever been a close, almost bite or does every walker get through with every bite, every time?

That was the only thing I didn't like about the episode. Why didn't Eastman dispatch the walker instead of pushing Morgan out of the way? The threat was still there, now in close proximity to Eastman. He should have taken out the walker when he realized Morgan froze.

Overall I liked the episode, I was just wondering how high the collateral damage from Morgan's inability to finish things off is going to get

Good question. I imagine that something is going to happen as a result of Morgan's new no killing philosophy that's going to make him rethink and reevaluate this new philosophy and way of life.

Because in Hollywood that's the way it's done, you can't push someone out of the way without sacrificing yourself in the process. It's like whenever somebody is about to be hit by a car, someone comes in and pushes them out of the way, but instead of pushing them out of the way in a way that puts them out of harm's way as well, they simply push them and get hit by the car themselves instead.

Very true.
This was posted by Osagi Pilgrim in another thread. Pretty darn close if you ask me.
http://www.amazon.com/Brazos-Twiste...sr=8-2&keywords=brazos+walking+sticks+twisted

Got mine in about a week ago. It's not exact, but as I said in the thread, I'm convinced that they use different jos, but all with the twists.

Mine has more of an oval shape than true round down to about a foot from the end. The description said there's no taper, but it does slightly from the oval part down. Other than that. it's pretty close. Strap hole, twist & everything else are good.

Even if it's not exact, It's a great staff, & as I said, more than 'close enough'.:D:thumbsup

I know that Morgan is going to be the indirect result of some collateral damage, but like Lennie James said on TD, Morgan KNOWS that what he's doing could result in said damage, but this is who he is. He's staying true to who he is, IMO, as opposed to Rick, who through 6 seasons, has gone through every gamut of emotion & conviction possible.

Can you post some pictures of your staff?

Keep an eye on the other thread. I have some that I'll post, but it may be tomorrow or the next day.

Don't want to derail this one, & as someone who thinks Morgan is the best thing to happen to the show in a while, I think I'm a sitting target here.:(

JK:lol:thumbsup

I thought it was okay only because Morgan is an interesting character. It didn't need to be a half hour longer though IMO. I think that unless he modifies what Eastman told him to being able to kill bad people, then he's going to be a liability. I liked the Wolf guy basically saying "Cool story, but I'm going to kill you if I get loose."

I tell you what I was expecting...

After Eastman gave the speech about the moment the serial killer knew that Eastman was seeing through him, I was thinking the twist would be, after spending all the time with Morgan, there'd be a moment at the end where he 'sees through' Morgan's new attitude, & Morgan would kill him. That'd set up either Morgan's 'real' change, or we'd snap back to the present & see that Morgan had gone bat-crap crazy on the Wolf, & the rest of the season would be the audience waiting for the 'real' Morgan to reveal himself.

But I was happy with how it all went down.

I was thinking along these same lines this past week, the Glen scene brought it to the front of my mind.

How is it that walker skulls are so brittle that everyone's knives slide right in like they are cutting a cake but at the same time a walker's fingers are so sturdy that they can tear through skin and abdominal muscles to get to small intestines? I don't think I could to that with fresh live hands.

Because in Hollywood that's the way it's done, you can't push someone out of the way without sacrificing yourself in the process.
Yup, they did it this same week in Nashville.

I liked that episode. It essentially was a heroes origin story, with all elements firmly in place. The bad thing is that it has raised my expectations for the Morgan character. I expect him to become a regular cast member through the complete run of the show. He IMO now is portrayed as the opposite of Rick, who has become more and more violent and unforgiving during the last seasons.
