The Walking Dead - Season 6 Discussion

Every one is already infected. They stated this in the first season if memory serves, and Chris Hardwick talked a little about it on Talking Dead.

Pretty sure it's only a bite that turns you.

am I the only one that saw rick get infected ?

he even looks at his hand, picked up the walkie talkie like he was going to tell the guys he infected then put the talkie down
or is Rick grimes such a bad dude he can mingle an open wound with zombie blood and get away with it?..

Rick is good

I said it before: If Glen is still alive next week I'll be jumping up and screaming at the TV "HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCK-A-DOODIE CAR!" ;)

About that...
You have to wait until episode 7. Next episode is an entire Morgan flashback. Episode 6 follows Abe, Daryl, and Sasha (pretty awesome episode), then episode 7 is the next time you see Glen and Enid might be around to help him a bit

Death turns you, doesnt matter how you die, you'll turn not unless it's brain damage

As was mentioned on the talking dead, his story will be wrapped up one way or another and he will appear in some form in upcoming episodes.

I wonder, while Glenn may have seemingly survived due to the body on top, it is possible he was still bit and will just last long enough to make it back to Alexandria, maybe for a season finale reveal or something

I'm wondering if they may have the guts to do something to Luke Skywal...I mean Jamie Lannis... er, um, Rick that's big in the comics.

No way Glenn survived, and while it sucks to lose him, I'll be disappointed if he miraculously survives. As mentioned, even with a body on top of him the zombies would still get to him at some point. They were on all sides and he was exposed. No way out without getting torn apart.

Yes you turn when you die, unless you are bitten. Then you turn anyway. Not from a scratch, not from a cut, is my understanding of TWD rules.

That's my understanding too, any wound that you don't die from and that's not the result of a bite from a walker won't cause you to die and turn. So if you got a scratch, cut yourself with knife, got shot, etc. as long its taken care of and you don't die from blood loss or infection you're fine whereas a bit from walker, no matter how minor apparently, is a death sentence unless it's on a limb and the bitten limb is cut off immediately.

On the subject of cutting off bitten limbs to prevent walker bite death, I wonder, what if somebody was bitten somewhere (not on a limb) and a chunk of flesh around the bite was cut off, would that prevent the person from dieing from the bite? What about cauterizing a bite, has that been shown to work or not?

Doubt it, thats one of the few things Kirkman regrets. Plus probably would cost a lot more per episode to remove it in post. Would be cool though.

But what happens to Carl in the comics...

Something similar happens, but I dont think he loses his eye but it definitely gets damaged

The scenes surrounding Glenn's death are a bit ambiguous . . .

While I certainly see them going with the rolling under the dumpster theory, most dumpsters I've seen only have a few inches of clearance index them.

While that may be true it wouldn't be the first time that we've seen something odd or out of the ordinary in a TV/show movie for the sake of the plot. It's sort of like how the walkers aren't supposed to have anything going on in the way of intelligence yet see one in S1(?) pick up a brick to smash a window, or how all the cars (with keys and gas) are still running even though gas doesn't have that long of a shelf life.

its a show with zombies, not all HAS to make sense anyway :devil
unlimited shotgun ammo, dumpsters with just enough room under them, special forces armour will let you run through a horde of zombies like Glenn did to get out of the prison and so on.

i love watchin the walking dead, and other zombie movies but like for most movie stuff i dont realy think to hard about solutions the makers come up with.

Yeah under the dumpster. He shouldn't be screaming cause they will bite his face off. Talking about the noise being made. These walkers have better hearing than 90% of the world. Seriously, I think they all receive whispers 2000's instead of a handbook for the recently deceased.
