The Walking Dead Season 4

As soon as Abraham said Eugene was going to save the human race my wife said "Great, salvation comes with a mullet."

It has before...

Got another attempt at being funny for y'all. There's a reason why you shouldn't eat 112 oz. of pudding by yourself.

I am with MFP 2020. The guy Rick garroted had an Uzi slung around his neck but went reaching for the scissors as he was being choked. Now Rick has a submachine gun and the advantage of surprise and his plan is to sneak out the window and jump from the 2nd story? They need a veteran or cop among the writers and a gun guy on set. That gibberish Abraham was speaking under the truck sounded like a military slang generator, "When I was in the **** we were 10 clicks downrange with c4 in the sandbox you no load." And I get how many civilians may not know how to use weapons properly but Rick and Abraham don't even extend their collapsible stocks or use their sights and it seems like everyone in that road scene fired full auto from the hip. I don't expect everyone to act rationally all the time but it just seems like lazy writing and a lack of attention to detail all the way around. I am losing interest.

We're seeing some great character development from Michonne. She's accepted Rick, Carl, and the others as her family now, and is a lot less of the unfeeling machine she was at the beginning.

And thank goodness for that! While everyone else was slobbering over her appearance in the series, I have found her to be all but intolerable to watch right up until the last few episodes where she finally seems like a real person instead of a ridiculous cartoon set in what is expected to be a believable environment. Every time she has been shown, she pulls me right out of the show, so I am pretty thrilled that they are beginning to make her just a little more believable.

Great character episode. Good to see the cracks in Daryl's armor too. But I think Daryl shouldn't have felt solely guilty for dropping his guard at the prison. Rick and everyone else, except Michonne, dropped their guards (and Michonne only dropped hers because Daryl got onto her about constantly leaving the prison). The Governor's "sneaking up" for a third attack was a group failure, not his alone.

I don't think they would feel that way if the group was back together. Right now it seems they are all feeling responsible and that everyone else is dead because of their actions or in-actions. Once the group gets back together (hopefully) everyone will realize it wasn't one persons fault.

I do have to say that the "fear factor" of the show is dying down quite a bit. It's been a long time since I've "jumped" at anything. There have not been any scares lately, just zombies shuffling around.

Anybody have thoughts on why Darryl took whatever money and jewelry he could find ?
I could see maybe the jewelry could be used to trade for some supplies, but the money ? Money is useless at this point.

He beat up on the zombie on the floor before he " teed off " ( I know that was a bad one lol, had to do it ) on its noggin.
Maybe the stereotype of the rich well to do people in the country club, of what they had and he didn't growing up. He had a chance to take his frustrations out on them for once.

He did use a bundle of cash to light the house on fire. :)

He seems too smart just to haul that crap around for no reason. I just cannot think of a reason for why he would, yet.

I noticed that too when they lit the cash.
Agree on the smart thing, he definitely had a legit reason. Hard to figure it out right now.

I thought for sure somebody would bring it up on Talking.

The have's verses the have not's undertones aside.
The end of this episode left an odd taste.
It seems foolish to burn down your only shelter and then wander off with walkers in-tow in the middle of the night.
Plus, the statement that he will be the last man standing when everyone else is gone. That is just tempting fate for my favorite or at least an equal to Glen.

I think he got the chance to finally put Merle behind him, after talking about it with Beth. Also the Cabin reminded him of his home, burning it down had to do with dealing with his demons, but also Beth's demons I guess.

Maybe he took the money as a symbol of power over the Powerfull who were nothing but mere corpses or zombies hanging around (in the Country Club scene).

I think that in this Episode , Daryl finally dealt with his demons after Beth encouraged him to show his feelings.

By chance did the picture of the guy that Daryl hit with a dart kinda look like Eugene to anyone? . When he was tossing the dart and they did a close up of hit ( think it was his 2nd throw) you get a quick look of it.

I found it a quite interesting episode, since Daryl is more the lone wolf and Beth the social kind of person, the total opposite. I wonder, if Daryl's been in jail, he wasn't quite answering that question, which I take it as a yes…

Well, about the last comment being the last man standing, Norman teased us TWD fans months ago with some "walkerish" make-up… I hope he's not going to bite the dust. Anyway, if, the TWD fans are going to riot like a mad zombie herd :D .

I'm not completely caught up with this season yet. Just saw the Governor at the end of the last episode I watched.
I hate to say, this season is about as ok as the others. I want to love this show because of what it is, but I can't fully get into it. I feel like more often than not I'm forcing myself to watch it. I think they drag stuff out too much in this series. I only like 2 characters: Daryl and Michonne. I don't care about any of the other characters in the show and more often than not I am rooting for them to get chewed up by a pack of zombies.

I find so many flaws in how they run things that it drives me nuts.
- The jail.... I hate this place. Way too much real estate to have to maintain and fortify, which they barely succeed at doing. Why not park cars along the fence to keep not only zombies from breaking it down but also to slow down anyone attempting to ram it with vehicles (like last season).
- Bunch of sick people.... why aren't they locking down the cells and the blocks more?
- Consistently needing to unclog the water pump hose... then fortify the path to the hose so they're not fending on z's to get to it?
- Why does it seem like every time they drive a car they take their eyes off the road and end up hitting something and losing control of their vehicle?
- Why do they drive such lame vehicles? Oh wait... sponsors. It seems like every episode is a car commecial.
- Daryl... get a gun. The crossbow is great for small engagements but you're ill equipped for crowds.
- Stop taking in crazies and stop taking unreliable people on road trips.

Just a few of the thigns that bug me about this show. Could I do better? Maybe, maybe not. But some of the things they botch seem like common sense.

I was figuring the cash would make great toilet paper.
