The Walking Dead Season 4

While it wouldn't initially impact us the way The Walking Dead show does, I would be interested to see a spinoff based on a different location maybe in the West. Maybe Zombies in Seattle feasting on spoiled Starbucks coffee or something. HAHA!

Of course a spinoff might hurt the franchise because the state of things elsewhere is unknown compared to where Rick's group is at now. That could be a mess, but there a lot of stories that could be told in this world of survival horror.

Lately I have been getting burned out on the show and do not want any spun offs. But I would like to see what is going on in Europe to see how they are dealing since firearms are a little more rare there.

I don't have TV, so I have to go to my friend's house every Sunday night to watch with him. So for sheer inconvenience I won't watch a spinoff. Beyond that, I'm just put off by such a flagrant cash grab. I don't need to see the Fraser of zombie shows. I'm invested in the original show and the comics, and that's enough for me.

Europe simply would no longer exist in such a situation... Especially the UK... Maybe they could take on the hordes with soup spoons etc. :)

Still don't think Terminus is a secured place. Well when Rick unleash Hell on it.
So there's spikes in front of the fences : same as the prison: but there was always Walkers. Now here's a sick thought as they're cannibals,
they're also sacrificers too. Yes,,, a chained up person in the woods to keep them away from Terminus. All that gun fire and no attraction?
But I still can't wait till October to find out.

Now the spin-off: Manhatten would be perfect, inclosed, weather changing and just plain drama.
Hawaii: to open And Australia: way to open
Could do England but have to deal with Dr. Who, but then, we do have a few of their actors on the show :)
Masada fortress might be a thought? harsher conditions and a foreign country, Even have Raj and his parents show up
and tell how the break-out happened because of a bad Pelvic exam LOL

all the spin off talk yet nobody is taking into consideration budget. Funny thing having said that is horror and such in general is cheap to produce. Thats why its always bottled up in a house, a cabin, a building... to save on location costs and permits. The WD follows the same suit being stuck at the farm until viewers were jumping ship, then stuck at the prison till viewers were jumping ship... There is only so far one location can play out until it turns into a sitcom. The work around for a spin off set in a big city is to shoot the "season" as a mini series. There are locations here in LA that are near zombie apocalypse ready as is:
Google Earth View:
72269 Robert Stockton Pl, San Pedro, CA 90731
5351 W 95th St, Los Angeles, CA 90045
Hawthorne Mall
and exteriors in Lennox CA easily double for Mexico.

The odd itch makes any WD spin off bring up thoughts of "That 80's Show" or the horrid "Zombieland" pilot.

Although I agree with you about horror movie settings in general but in TWD case, the reason they spent so much time at the camp site out side of Atlanta, the Greene farm, the prison, etc... is because these were all huge focal/turning points and story lines from the comics.

Does it fit the model you suggested, technically yes.

Horror is a formula, comic, film, tv, novel... The tv series uses the comic as a guide line as already officially been stated. In the real world, its about budgets when it comes to a production. The issue im talking about is being in one recognizable location for an extended period, the farm and the prison. It gets to the point I expect to see Ricky Schroder ride in on a toy train at any given moment.

Horror is fomula. Drama is not. The Walking Dead is a drama in the disguise of a horror story.

Re: The Walking Dead.. Will Feature The Character Of Negan For Season 5

He hasn't been cast. Kirkman just said he would be perfect for the role.

:facepalm
