The Walking Dead Season 4

My only issues with the episode was that it seemed predictable. When Rick met the derelict woman I immediately thought "Book of Eli" and it was going to be a set up to get jumped and robbed/killed. The actress even looked like that woman from Book of Eli, kind of.

At first I thought, like Nathan Fillion on TD, that it was some kind of human that hadn't turned full walker. Mainly because of her coloring. After that I thought it was going to be a cannibal ambush. :lol

I agree about the pig, I said the same thing that they should have had Hershel look at it. He was right there teaching Rick about farming, I'm sure he saw the pig.

I watched this with my 10 year old nephew last night and when the walkers starting coming through the roof he started singing "It's Raining Men". Then we got another laugh when the producer said the same thing on TD. :lol

For some reason, I'm expecting the show to introduce somebody who is immune to the infection.

It would also be interesting for there to be a zombie who can articulate. Just one who turned, but didn't lose their human mind, kind of like the Brain Gremlin, only not comical. This particular zombie should be really old and worn out - too worn out for prosthetics. It should be an animatronic puppet.

I have never seen this show...

Is it actually good? Or it's another one full of useless drama and bs???

The actor who played Shane (Jon Bernthal) kind of wanted to do that; he said he tried convincing the director and showrunner to let him say "Rick" and something else when he turned. They shot him down though...

So you want TWD to turn into Warm Bodies? :lol
I liked that movie. :p

Won't happen. Don't even bother getting your hopes up. Won't EVER happen.

No zombie animals. No intelligent walkers. No cure or vaccine or even defining what causes the zombies.

It just won't happen.

Warm Bodies? It's a movie, not a show and it wasn't half bad. Not the greatest movie ever made, or even the best zombie movie ever made but it did have an interesting and quite different take on zombies. In the movie they show that there's 2 types of zombies, you have the human looking ones that you normally see in zombie movies & TWD who still have a remnant of their humanity left in them and then you have these dark, ghostie looking zombies who are completely feral with no humanity left in them.

Since pigs are 98% similar to humans genetically speaking, the fact that both the domestic pig and wild boar were sick before the kid tells me that a plague virus has mutated.

I'm glad to see they've finally stopped being stupid and started hardening the prison, growing food and taking in strays. Everything in the first episode made sense to me and I'm willing to let it all play out except the freaking zombies still biting through denim. The kid in the grocery store should've never died. I liked that Carol was teaching the kids about knives. They've become a hunter/gatherer clan and there's no place for modern civility nor PC sheltering the kids crap.

I agree, it was nice to see that they started to make some improvements to the prison in order to make it more secure from not only hordes of walkers but from people like the Governor as well. It's still a little open for my taste with all that chain link fencing, I'd want to fortify the outer perimeter with a solid wall of some sort, something that a whole swarm of zombies can't knock down and could withstand at least a small delivery truck running into it as well.

I also liked that Glenn got smart and wore some armor on his arms, body armor is nice but I'd personally focus on arm and leg protection more since you're far more likely to get bitten there than on the chest. Now that they have pigs in the prison I'd hope they get smart and take the skins to make leather armor from, I'm not sure how pig leather compares to cow but it's better than nothing and should be enough to stop the bite of a walker, especially if they reinforce it with a bit of metal of thick plastic, I don't care how unfeeling a walker might be and immune to pain, human teeth just aren't that sharp and humans just don't have all that much bite force, esp. when compared to other animals.

I'm talking about The Walking Dead, what this thread is about.

I'm wondering if it's good or if its full of TV drama and bs (which i have ZERO interest in).

Cant remember who said it but some diseases pass easily by going through the blood stream. But not necessarily as easily by swallowing it. The bite gives direct contact from a blood spewing zombie to the blood stream. Where as swallowing the blood isnt as direct. Correct me if im wrong. Perhaps a concentrated or direct contamination is required before antibodies are overwhelmed and give in.

You guys keep missing the whole, it's not the zombies that are infecting them, they already have the virus idea. Their death is the activation of the virus, which causes the reanimation. Not a bite from a walker.

But it doesn't have to be a fatal bite to turn someone. Andreas bite from Milton didn't look like a fatal would, but it was enough to turn her.

Exactly. The bites don't turn you because you're already infected. The bite, however, will speed up the process, but bitten or not, you come back.
