Has anyone been watching the black and white editions? Have they been simply changed to black and white, or has there been further picture adjustments to give the show a more old black and white feel to it?
I'm curious to know if it makes the show a new experience for you or if it's just a pointless gimmick that isn't adding much in an attempt to get more viewers watching repeats?
I keep missing it and can't seem to find it on-demand.

Blowing a good part of woodbury into pieces isnt a noise problem. Blow a few holes here and a few of their nice generators. no light to see stuff. Zombies over whelm the joint..people scream, people die and you laugh. they had no probelm plowing your 2 gates and dropping a crew off. I'm just returning the favor..you know be good neighbor.

yeah, that annoyed me too. They can get head shots from moving vehicles on rough terrian, or diving, running, rolling while searching for Carl and his over sized hat de jour.. but all of a sudden can't hit the broad side of the barn.. sure.. i'll suspend belief because most of them are suppose to be your average person, not raised or trained with firearms except for the few days of practice shane and rick gave them.. but Rick was a cop with firearm training.. and lets not forget it's been what.. 8 months time passage between where season 2 ended and where they are now.. I'm sure they've had plenty of time to shoot and practice since then. And these were live targets, didn't require a head shot to put them down.. just needed to hit them.

I have not seen then but I believe their just B&W and nobody really knows why.. if it's a homage to the 68' Night of the Living Dead or because the comic is in B&W. I would not think it would have that creepy atmosphere the 68' film because most of this is out doors, during the day.

I watched the first episode in B&w which was included on the season one blu ray and I liked it. I believe it was was Frank Darabont who originally wanted the to do the B&W episode. He has a fondness for B&W and did the same thing for The Mist. It also mirrors the comic. AMC must have liked it and did the rest.

My thought on the b&w is its not going to be enough... I can do that myself. If you want to make it different, score it with new music and add a little film grain. Then it'd be worth watching.

My only problem with the series is that I can't understand how a bite can contaminate you, but blood spatter can apparently doesn't.
Doesn't ruin the show for me, I just know when the zombie apocalypse does come, I am stocking up on bleach when I go for food and shotgun shells, and maybe one of those face shields like Dexter wears.

The Gov did say he wished there was more ammo when they took the military weapons.

My guess is a bite, tear or whatever causes an infection and gets into the bloodstream unlike getting it in your eye or mouth. I'm guessing it's bloodborne disease?

That is a very good question actually, where the hell did the Guv'na acquire his AUG? Semi-auto AUGs are fairly uncommon in the States as it is and a full auto capable one has to be even rarer and even harder to come by than any other full auto weapon.
