The Walking Dead Season 3

Nope, what I meant was...(which incidentally I read elsewhere and thought was so funny, it could be true).

If you would replace Luke with Daryl, Merle with Vader and the Emperor with the Governor, ala ROTJ.

Merle saving Daryls life by killing the Governor, also sacrificing himself? And Merle finding absoultion and peace by seeing his brother "with his own eyes?"

Parallels:
- Vader and Merle both have their hands cut off.
- Family ties between Daryl and Merle, Luke and Vader
- Vader is The Emperors right hand man, like Merle is to the Governor.
- Woodbury being the Death Star
- The Governor questions Merles loyalty, the same with Vader and The Emperor.

I thought Daryl and Carol were brother and sister thats why she asked if he wanted to fool around. They do things different in them backwoods parts of town.

I must have missed something. Why has this become a spoiler free thread? Asside from a troll who was banned, spoilers were tagged responsibly.

I dunno unless some people couldn't resist and then got upset over it? I was under the assumption you don't wanna know don't click the tag but I don't think the reason was really posted

Minor question re: spoiler decorum.

I've been spoiler-tagging my posts that are speculation based on events from the comics. As folks probably know, the TV show follows the comics occasionally, strays WAAAAAY off track, and then often comes back to the same or similar end results. Some characters in the show have been analogous to others in the comics, and some have been completely new characters.

My question is:

Should I keep spoiler-tagging my comics-based speculations? My concern is that because the comics are so far in advance of the show, there's just too much that MIGHT end up coming to pass in the show, which has already happened in the comics. So, I don't want to give anything away. Plus, people may not even have read the comics, so for the DIFFERENCES between the comic and the show, I don't want to reveal anything to people who aren't up to date (or at least up through the first 96 issues).

My inclination is to keep spoiler-tagging stuff, but I also recognize that can look kind of annoying after a while when it's a post that's literally just a set of spoiler tags (or worse, two people going back and forth in a conversation that's been spoiler-tagged).

Post away, Dan. Spoiler tags are fine for the comic related parallels or speculation based off of that. My assumption on what Art stated is that it is not fine to post spoilers about future t.v. episodes that have not been aired;)

Tonight's forecast for Hurricane Rick Grimes calls for heavy lead rain, heavy fog, and a lot of ass-kicking. This will also be accompanied by a lot of arrows to asses and a few samurai sword dismemberments. :lol

I really look forward to the spoilers, and had this thread bookmarked for that specific reason. I'd still like the unaired episode rundown, if the person who was providing it previously would be willing to PM to people who ask for it- I'd be eternally grateful to you.

I'm with you on that one, that's the whole reason I read this thread so often :popcorn
