The Walking Dead Season 3

Guys and girls, please DO NOT post ANY spoilers from upcoming episodes of the Walking Dead. Feel free to speculate all you would like, but if you actually KNOW any upcoming plotline, please keep it to yourself.

thread has become difficult to read...i find myself avoiding it more than wanting to join in and discuss....even though some use spoiler tags...others respond by not using them....maybe we need to create another thread that has no spoilers and discuss on an episode to episode...i think we did that with the previous seasons....

the last episode was hard to watch....poorly directed.....poor camera angles..horrible closeups....makeup was horrible....poorly written....i felt like i was watching amateur video on youtube

Problem isn't proficiency. Despite how the bodies are depicted on the show, the human skeleton is very strong. Even more so when covered in ligaments, tendons, muscle, flesh and clothing. Bladed weapons would need to be very sharp and constantly re-honed. As far as blunt weapons, it takes a lot more force to crush a skull with a baseball bat than most would think. To kill a live person, it only takes a fraction of that force, but the zombies require actual brain trauma.

If an average american (physically) somehow managed to survive 10+ months using just a bludgeoning weapon, they would certainly be building their endurance however it would still necessitate daily training regiments.

So, I'm not saying its impossible; just that using melee weapons takes a lot of energy. More than some might think.

BTW, I've got 10+ years with the military and been fighting in Adrian Empire for 15+ years using real steel weapons. :)

I have always just assumed that the skulls/bones crush so much easier than a normal skull/bone would because it's rotting. However that doesn't explain the people they "Don't let turn" after they die a natural(ish) death, as I would think a newly dead skull would be a lot harder to crush than one that's been rotting away for months...

I'm probably the biggest tight-wad in this thread when it comes to spoilers and I thought with the exception of that dude that I blocked, the spoilers were kept pretty hush-hush.

Was this related to your FB post earlier today? ;)

I had no idea that new **** had come to light. Sorry, fellas.

not true...we can still discuss past and current episodes and speculate on future ones..I see it as the thread is getting cleaned up...There are a few pages where all you see is spoiler tag after spoiler tag..

There are a few members here (like me) who would like to come to this thread and chime in and discuss without the risk of future episodes being spoiled

I'd like to speculate and say we are going to get a ROTJ type of season ending episode with Merle and Daryl.

I'm subscribed to both this thread and the SW Ep VII thread, and this just confused the hell out of me. Thought I clicked the wrong link.
Merle v. Daryl is bound to happen, but little bro is probably gonna give his brother a chance. He doesn't know if Merle has changed or not. But as soon as Merle shows signs of endangering Daryl's new family, it'll be a battle of the backwater boys. I imagine we won't see the fight until around episode 10 or so.
(I have read the spoilers. I'm pretending I didn't.)
