The Walking Dead Season 3

Loved it next week looks like another zombie filled episode finally .
I got my wish I saw grandpa firing an M-4 with a scope from the tower lol.
If I go into that prison though I am taking every last round no matter if it was 1 its coming with!

As soon as they walked past that walker sitting up and made it a point to show it again, I just KNEW it was gonna come to life and as soon as Herschel got bit, I knew what was gonna happen haha. I'm glad they made it a point to show the amputation as a means of staving off the infection. It was a main plot point in the comics, only no Allan or Dale to be the victim haha.

Great Episode though and also AXEL!!

Those riot gear police were awesome! I love when it's face came off, I need to find a screencap of that. What a great episode!
^That^ WAS totally excellent. When it happened, my wife was like: "OH GRRROSSSS!!!11" while I was laughing & said something like: "WOW, what an awesome effect!"

I hate the sword lady.

That is all.

Its a horrible character on screen, maybe it works in comic book land but just not in moving pictures world.

Am I the only one that noticed all the randomly placed light switches were switched off?

liked the season premiere. i found it awesome when they went into the frontyard, and suddenly: zombies with bodyarmor!
im curious if hershel survives. i dont read the comic, so i dont know what will happen

also curious as to how many zombies can possibly be in the prison. how much prisoners, staff, etc does a standard prison have?

I'm on the fence with her. Not sure how to feel yet since they only really shown her a few times.

Great episode. I wish season two opened like this. I hope it keeps this pace. The beginning of season 2 was soo painfully slow. And prolonged stories.

Also, I like Andrea not being in the whole episode. I rather enjoyed it without her. She was very annoying in season 2 and I'm hoping they kill her off soon

Michonne was barely in this episode. I honestly can't see how anyone can judge her character from that.

I think she's just fine and very similar to her character in the comics! I'm just happy they kept her pack horse zombies! Hope she gets more lines and screen time. She's the ultimate badass, and I hope the series does her justice.

It's a little to early to post spoilers for next week ;) but in the mean time....

From left to right: Big Tiny (Theodus Crane), Oscar (Vincent Ward), Axel (Lew Temple), Andrew (Markice Moore) and Tomas (Nick Gomez)

Tomas (played by Nick Gomez)
“Tomas is the leader. Tomas is the alpha male. He’s the one who is in charge and he is the one who has set the rules and he did before the apocalypse, he’s been doing that since, and suddenly, here’s Rick telling him, ‘This isn’t even your prison any more.’ Tomas is not going to stand for that.”

Andrew (played by Markice Moore)
“Andrew is really Tomas’ right hand man. These guys are really the ones who have been intimidating Axel and Oscar.”

Axel (played by Lew Temple)
“Axel is a great character. He’s someone who was probably a two-bit criminal who finds himself in a bigger mess. He’s probably happy to be freed by Rick because he realizes he’s not as cutthroat as Tomas and Andrew.”

Oscar (played by Vincent Ward)
“Oscar is another guy who has had to go along with Tomas’ rule.”

Big Tiny (played by Theodus Crane)
“Big Tiny is the muscle of the group. The idea was that all of these guys together are a formidable force. These are hardened convicts who have survived living together for almost a year, almost in the same way that Rick and his group have. So this is a surprising force for Rick to come up against. And they are formidable. And they are scary. And they are dangerous. Just as dangerous as Rick’s group.”

Unless he's not shown, my bf and I were discussing the serial murderer/pedophile and wondering if he was going to make an appearance despite the fact they didn't put in Herschel's twin girls.

I'm assuming you mean Thomas Richards. He is not portrayed by any of the prisoners *yet that I know of. Dexter from the comics is pretty much Tomas. Dex's right hand man was Andrew, and he will be Tomas' right hand man. Axel is Axel although Big Tiny is closer to Axel's size in the comics. And lastly there is Oscar.

They had to deliver a ZOMBIE show this year not little house on the prairie .

Well, get used to her. She's a major character in the comic version

and an AWESOME one at that!

Besides how can someone HATE the "sword lady" she has had like 5 minutes of screentime TOTAL!. I really hate people like that. "ooh I saw her say ten words of dialog, she sucks" :rolleyes

Loved the episode, but they need to do something about the gunplay. I think the muzzle flashes must have been added in post. The slides didn't go back, the cylinders didn't revolve, and they didn't even pretend to experience any recoil. Ironic since they had the bit about the rifle kick hurting her shoulder.

I find some of the effects leave a little to be desired but I overlook it because I really like where the show is headed. lol

Cause she does suck?
The group runs out of a house when eyeing a few walkers outside yet they took over the house killing all inside where sword lady just struts around town with her hand on the hilt of some magical laser sword that chops through bone with the slightest touch.

In regards to the CGI and gun play, it may have been to do with the amount of gun fire and actors/extras on set as well as the surroundings. It is a shame however they didnt pull hard on the trigger to help sell it though.
