The Walking Dead Season 3

Having just got satalite a few months ago, I just discovered The Walking Dead. They ran a season 1 marathon last night. Watched all of it and loved it! The wife liked it too! I believe they are showing season 2 next weekend.

That's what I heard. A bit confused though, which season starts this weekend? I have seen people talk about season 3 but I thought that's what was starting on Sunday? Is this the start of season 4?

AMC breaks up their seasons into 2 parts. So you'll get 6 or 7 episodes before they take a break and then finish up the season with the remaining episodes.

Season 3 started in October (I think?) and went on until late November. Then they took 2 months break. The mid season finale starts February 10th.

as prior mentioned the "mid season break" thing is a way the network can stretch a single season into a year long venture. This is done to garner more advertising dollars with less investment on newer episodes. This also keeps the show in the trades and in peoples minds with advertising while the next season is going into production.
In the end its all about the $$$ but thats what the entertainment industry is all about.

Anyone else watching the marathons? I'm catching every single awful plothole or horrible lapse of judgement, and yet it's just as good on the second viewing.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again..the scene where Rick sees the baby and then loses it is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! Can't wait for tonight!
