The Walking Dead Season 3

I disagree with both arguments about Merle. From what we know, his main goal in life right now is to find his brother. That is his motivation. He has more of a chance of doing this by either believing Glen or following him back to the prison than hoping he talks while interrogating him.

What does he hope to accomplish by capturing Glen and Maggie and further pissing off Daryl's group?

Sure, he is racist and a d-bag, but he isn't stupid.

.....well, he might be. He cut off his hand instead of cutting the rusty metal that his hand was cuffed to.

He's definitely a very strong flavor of stupid. Hard drugs, not bothering with protecting against STDs, abusive to his only remaining family member, incapable of using a hacksaw on a rusty pipe, can't keep his lies straight, accidentally prevents himself from seeing his little brother, etc.

Not sure about Tyreese. I don't know that he is necessary anymore. Seeing the mediocre way they inserted Michonne into the story, my hopes aren't high for Tyreese. It almost seems like we are playing a game of musical black guys.

I can't believe Andrew Lincoln is British! I only started watching last season so I haven't seen interviews or anything. He does a great American accent; I can't even hear any of his real accent. I knew Lauren Cohan was from England while watching Chuck, but she also does a good accent. Well I'm from the North, so I'm assuming she does, it may sound like crap to a Southener though.

Him, David Morrissey (The Governor) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie) are British.

I'm thinking the only reason that Merle wants to find Darryl is to punish him for not getting revenge in Rick and Tdog. Merle strikes me as the type would go up to Darryl and say "Rick and Tdog leave me trapped on this roof and you don't kill them? You don't think to get revenge and then come and look for me? You forget all about me?"

I've been thinking the same sort of thing Scareb, I just can't wrap my head around the idea that Merle wants to find his brother just because he's his only remaining family. I think that Daryl is going to end up having to kill Merle either in self defense or to save someone in the group. Or at least that's how I would like it to go :lol

Darryl and Merle weren't in the comics so even if you'd read them, it wouldn't matter. :D

Small spoiler for episode 8 the mid season finale

This will be the first clash with Woodbury and the prison group (well just Michonne, Rick, Daryl, and Oscar). Also in this episode we'll get to see Tyreese for the first time.

The saw wasn't sharp enough to cut through the metal.

Through the hardened steel hand cuffs? Not sharp enough. Through either the bolt or the rusted pipe? More than sharp enough. Even a crappy broken hacksaw could do it.

Edit: oh hey, censoring. Well that answers that question.
