The Walking Dead Season 3

That's just crazy, Daryl is by far my favorite character. I forgot about him when I said:

Like a few others said I'm going to be extremely upset if something happens to Maggie or Glenn as they are pretty much the only characters I like at the moment besides Michonne. I never read the comics/books or whatever, so I have no idea what might happen, but I definitely don't want to see her get raped or anything...

I too have been worried about Daryl teaming up with his brother again after he is such a staple in the group. He has come along way from the beginning. Maybe Merle will try to go after Carol or somethin causing him to kill him?

I'm going back to reading the book I bought today. "The Zombie Survival Guide." If none of you have read it, check it out, very funny and good read.

This is my feeling as well. One thing for sure is that no matter what happens it should be something worth watching. I just hope they keep Daryl around at least for the end of the season.

I get this feeling that something would happen along the lines of the governor orders Merle to kill Darryl but he can't do it and either the governor kills Merle, or vice versa. Sort of a redemption for Merle although I'd say its almost certain he's gonna die.

I keep thinkin we may hear something along the lines of "your followin and good friends with the guy who hand cuffed your brother to a roof and left him for dead?" with a gun pointed at Daryl.

I don't understand why Merle didn't listen to Glen and just wait there. What harm would that have done? If he dowsn't come back, at least you saw which way he went.

I wonder now if Maggie's future replaces Michone's from the books

Filled with the same sense of dread about this now. Please, not to my favorite farm girl.

For the record I am not some nitpicking nut who has had any problem whatsoever with the comic/show differences and how close they've adhered to the source material. It keeps it interesting, it's fun to see the deviations, and I wholeheartedly agree that some of their creative choices have actually improved the storytelling!

I LOVE this show. :thumbsup

Because that's not how Merle is. Between that and lying about Michonne being killed and the reason he doesnt have her head for his fishtank or her sword for a trophy. The past few episodes make it seem that Merle could have possibly changed, but after Sundays episode it shows he's actually worse than when he was in season 1.

On another note, Andrew Lincoln getting the Boondock treatment for stealing one of Norman's cookies

You have to keep in mind who Merle & Daryl were before the SHTF. Merle was an meth dealer and a "big man" in his own mind. Daryl was his subserviant little brother that idolized him.

Now Merle was demoralized by Rick. Lost his leadership role in their group. Lost the admiration of his brother. And is playing second banana to the Govenator.

He's got to be frustrated by not being in charge (why he's the ZMA king of the ring) and there's no way he's going to listen to a little weakling like Glenn. Plus add to the mix he just got done fighting Michonne and zombies. Finally, Merle definately displays Antisocial Personality Disorder behavior and could be extreme enough to be considered a sociopath.

Did anyone else laugh when the young girl's arrows kept missing the zombie?

She talked a big game, but no follow through. :lol

Actually, she reminds me of most modern film school students (basically, those who only want the gear, but lack any real knowledge to know how to use it). :lol

Of course she missed. She's a woman. The writers prefer to make all women in the series look incompetent, loose, or shrews. All of the above in Lori's case. :lol

I disagree with both arguments about Merle. From what we know, his main goal in life right now is to find his brother. That is his motivation. He has more of a chance of doing this by either believing Glen or following him back to the prison than hoping he talks while interrogating him.

What does he hope to accomplish by capturing Glen and Maggie and further pissing off Daryl's group?

Sure, he is racist and a d-bag, but he isn't stupid.

.....well, he might be. He cut off his hand instead of cutting the rusty metal that his hand was cuffed to.
