The Walking Dead Season 3

Well, well, well, what should I say? It's an surprising end, I yelled several times at the screen at Milton to kill the Gov, Andrea to go on effing faster and not hestitating. The shootout was ok, but as some said underwhelming, like the Ferengis saying "Sell the sizzle no the steak." :D But madmikeee is right too, that it would be more realistic than "Baysions" on end. Man, Carol and Beth have been gone to a transformation, if you rewatch the gate scene. The final sound was the dropping of the gun, when Andrea pulled the trigger, not a shell. Wow, talking about Carl giving Rick a lecture… that kid's screwed in the head too.

My hopes for Season 4: commuting from and to Woodbury and take all the stuff they need to build up the prison. Food, water, solar panels, stuff needed to get cozy. But I think that's wishful thinking, since the writers never would let them go cozy.
What bothers me, is the Zombies are getting weak - there should be a Zombie stampede coming from time to time to let the Prison Group know, life isn't so easy plus with the psycho Gov. Later, they should be driven out of the prison by a greater force or simple the decaying of the prison structure to move out of the state finding the national guard or something like that.

Re: Re: The Walking Dead Season 3

It took Rick forever to figure out about Shane/Laurie... so he's not the most astute observer, even for law enforcement.

Rick mentioned in season 2 that he knew about the two of them, When Lori told him she was pregnant.

I don't see them leaving the prison. Just as a cost to the show, it is easier to keep them in a place that is an established set as opposed to building new sets everyweek or scouting new areas to park a caravan of vehicles.

They will bring everything from Woodbury over in the off season. Just like last year when they established they were on the road all those months, things will continue on off screen. That will also give the Governor time to get new recruits (if they are gonna bring him back or not).

Carl and Rick will be interesting to see how that goes. With what he said to Rick and also remember what Morgan said to him about never being sorry, I expect to see Carl as an interesting character next year.

I have been really disappointed that the Gov will continue to be a part of the show... but it just occurred to me that it would really be interesting if we never see him again because that means there will always be the slight unease that he is out there, and he is angry and he COULD strike at any time. The uncertainty would certainly add to the tension.

Agreed, having him out there does make for a decent what if factor. Just look how many people kept saying Lori was coming back and her fate was already known (just not accepted by some;))

I recall filming for a day back on the farm for this season but nothing from the farm was seen, am I correct? That makes me wonder if we will get a flashback next season featuring characters that died, came back, and died again.

Weird last episode as it sure did look like a black mans forearm and bloody hand that burned the walker pit, not a geeky white pencil pusher.

The cinematography returned on the final episodes.

Am I the only one rooting for Andrea to get eaten?

OK...so...I said I'd give the show through this episode before I decided if I was going to give up on it or not, and needless to say, I'll be so the sofa in October when season 4 begins! Finally done with Woodberry!!!

It was ok. Could have been better, still fun. Andrea screwed herself. She easily spent 5 minutes of escape time just looking/talking to Milton. Seemed out of character for her survival instinct. Buh bye.

It makes sense IMO to have him come back. I would prefer another type villian (see my other post) but if they are gonna have the same type character, might as well just continue the storyline. It would be mundane to not have the Governor but instead finding another town with another pyscho runnning it.

Not sure why everyone was surprised that the Governor survived the finale. Have ya'll not seen all the recent interviews with Morissey? He has a mangy un kept beard and filming resumes soon. I doubted that the rifined British actor would sport a beard like "just because". I'm not suprised at all that he survived.

Besides, the prolonging of the "Governor plot" will simply push out the appearence of Abraham and company which will give me more time to figure out how the hell I'm going to get an audition to play Dr. Eugene Porter in Season 5. :lol

I'd have loved to move on, but since they did leave the Governor alive it only makes sense to have him appear again (and soon). Clearly, the man doesn't let things lie.

As far as people leaving a place like Woodbury for the prison, I though it was mentioned several times by the Governor that they are barely keeping the zombies out of Woodbury. Their defenses have lots of weak spots.

On top of that, almost anyone who could have carried a gun went with the Governor to the prison and got killed off. Also the Governor probably took a huge part of Woodbury's fire power with them as well, so probably not much Hardware to go around either.

There's probably not enough people/weapons left to defend a place like Woodbury. The prison is much easier to hold for a smaller group of weapon carrying people and especially if they work on fixing it up, it seems to be a much more defendable place.

Except the Governor specifically said that they had no biters get through the wall for a significant period of time when Andrea and Michonne first got there. And we didn't SEE any do so at any time that didn't include the prison group breaking through the wall and sneaking into Woodbury. There's security and there's quality of life. The quality of life in the prison is going to make people WANT to die. You have to keep up morale and keep people psychologically (comparitively) healthy. The prison is terrible for that, Woodbury is good for it.

They gotta clear the yard, fix the fence and prep the yard for farming. Getting people outside from time to time will improve morale.

Andrea. She was the last of the Darabont faithful and to me, an even more predictable death than Merle last week (and I

Second to last. You forgot about Carol.

Andrea's death was disappointing. Happy she is gone cause her character was just awful....but the way she went out was meh.

I was hoping for her not to break free and Milton to eat her on the chair. It would had been a more exciting death
