The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

lets get serious here for a min...all you need is one of these to eliminate them rotting bastards...

and if for some unforseen reason that gets taken over with the virus, then you just need one of these to cure THAT problem

was hoping we'd never see the ricockulous michonne in the tv show, so that's another strike against it. i hope season three gets the writing up to scratch cos this season has been peppered w/ some stupid shte that makes me think all the people writing the episodes stay in isolation and don't discuss plots w/ each other. just when the season seems to be verging on the excellent, some writing fk-up trips it up and it falls face first in the mud.

Here's another set. Sweat this is the last set (unless I find some really funny ones I think should be shared).

That jail actually had me laugh out loud. That was pure comedy.

The walking by M4 carbines one just made me angry because it's true lol.

Well, about the M4 ones, the army men got killed. It could very well be likely that those M4s are out of ammo. But I still included it because I figured someone would find it funny.

Ummm guys, I'm pretty sure the rules on language here is for pictures too. Maybe people should tone it down so the thread doesn't get locked?

Looking forward to the upcoming season, although I don't see how they will be able to come close to what happened at the prison in the comic. Now, that was some twisted, dark stuff.

If the mods feel that any of the pictures I've posted are offensive and vulgar, I'll remove all of them so that it doesn't offend anyone else.

But, in the mean time, here's some WD-related vids.

I really liked that fan made intro to Walking Dead. I always thought it would be cool for AMC to show some love and use his intro for one episode in one of the seasons.

I guess they kinda showed their appreciation when the Walking Dead game used him to create their intro. You can see the similarities in the videos.

I agree. They're both pretty awesome. :D I guess the reason why the game's trailer is like that because it is based within the actual comic's timeline (not the show) much like the fan-made intro was based on the comics, and the game even involves a few characters that show up in the comics (in fact, in the trailer, you see Glenn helping in closing the door).

Or Kirkman doesn't know a thing about katanas and thinks wallhangers can actually be used to chop people's heads off.

That's probably the real answer.

I'll come up with a fan explanation though... the kid was one of those kids that loved swords and thought he knew everything but didn't know anything. He sharpened his swords nicely, but one of the swords he picked up at a pawn shop (as opposed to those cheap mall swords). No one knew what it was... whomever sold the sword to the pawn shop, the pawn store owner and the kid. It turns out that it was a real katana, which he sharpened nicely.

It was this sword that Michonne found by accident and discovered just how good it was.

How's that?

Maybe I'm just not thinking about it in the right way, but I really dont see how having the two zombies follow her around would make the other ones not attack her...

First, the smell of the bodies close to her masks her own scent. keeping them close to her physically keeps others a little further away from her so they can't get close enough. I don't think she ever barrels through a crowd of walkers with them, but they provide a little extra cover that she wouldn't have otherwise.

That's plausible than most people think. The problem I see with this kid paying for the katana. I mean, a real one, especially a vintage one (circa WWII on back) wouldn't be the same price as the $30 ones you find at flea markets. A vintage and legit katana would be well over $500 bucks (honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it were over $1,000). Even some of the practice ones that claim to be "battle ready" are a minimum of $200. I actually tried to do a search to see if there are katanas that had the same strength quality of old ones were available, only to discover a little bit of a rule of thumb: If you're spending under $400, then it's more likely getting a display piece, not something meant for use in actual battle.

But seriously, vintage katanas would be the better bet. From what I heard, they were tested on prisoners sentenced to death and that if one did not cut the prisoner's head off, it was considered defective.

Great, now, for some odd reason, I'm wondering if its possible to make a homemade katana. I doubt it, of course, but it just popped in there.

Maybe I'm just not thinking about it in the right way, but I really dont see how having the two zombies follow her around would make the other ones not attack her...

Basically, if you've seen the episode "Guts", or read the comics, the zombies can tell the difference between their own and humans by smell. Remember how in the episode, Rick cut the zombie up with an ax and they smeared zombie blood and guts over Rick and Glenn? Remember how it kept the zombies from noticing Rick and Glenn as they walked down the street until it began raining and washed the blood and guts off? The same thing is true with Michonne and the zombies she towed. Basically, by keeping them close enough to her, their smell masked hers enough to not be noticed (in her first appearance in the comic, she passed by a few of them due to those two she was with. When one of the others noticed her, she lopped its head off and continued on without being noticed any further).
