The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

Dont get caught up on this "humanity" talk, its about making the right choices for survival.

You can still retain your humanity while trying to survive. Rick shooting the two guys that drew on him, that is him surviving while retaining his humanity (he even tried to diffuse the situation first and only drew his gun when he had no choice). Shane shooting Otis when both were moving equally slow, that's Shane abandoning his humanity (pretty much "better him than me". It was after that part when he became an A-hole with no shred of remorse for any of his actions and who is more concerned about himself and his appearance in the group than protecting the group).

There's plenty of examples in fiction that also show this. Hell, most of Battlestar Galactica deals with the rights and wrong on surviving, as well that line between keeping your humanity and abandoning everything that makes you human. The same is true with Road Warrior (as we see that after the events of Mad Max, Max had become "one of them", the group on the other side of that line that killed his family (his actions in the film were strictly selfish, even the final chase scene). It was also in The Road, and 28 Days Later. Any story about surviving a post-apocalyptic event deals with that issue, having the characters struggle not just for survival, but struggle to keep their humanity. The Walking Dead (in both TV show AND comic form) is no different.

and before I forget,

The group ends up not at a prison but at a sports stadium and as fate would have it, the outbreak happened on a Sunday Sunday Sunday so a Monster Truck Rally was under way. This brings the group once again close together as they play Monster Trucks and Tractor Pulls on a daily basis.

This is all based on the new spinoff comedy sitcom "Daryl & Meryl" where the brothers stay behind at the stadium as the others move on to continue the WD series. Daryl & Meryl will feature weekly guest stars, musical performances and monster truck games. It will be the first reality based comedy sitcom Zombiepocalypse variety show.

I liked how Darryl knew instantly that Shane killed Otis and just chose to ignore it.

I think they're gonna say that Carl learned his lesson about being a ****head with the fact that because of him, Dale is dead.

Is Carl going to end up like the one twin from the comics?

Thought the same thing. Watch and see. I would be surprised if Randal does not make it back to his group. From what I have read on multiple sites were in for a great finale.

Carl was almost Andrea annoying this episode, and I can't believe his parents would not notice him gone:rolleyes

Get out of my van and take your Dale hat with you :darnkids

You can kick me out the van all you want. But there's a line in surviving with your humanity intact (such as what Rick did when the two guys drew on him in the bar, because they forced him into the situation) and just becoming evil (which is what Shane has done to Otis, or, if you want to put it in the same scene context, it'd be like Rick shooting the two guys the moment they stepped in through the door and we discover that they both weren't evil and they were unarmed and had their families in a car outside while they were trying to find food).

There is a line, no matter how you try to ignore it. Rick sometimes dances dangerously near it. Shane has passed it and is trying to drag everyone else across it.

Stop running along side my van and yapping about humanity.

Shane shot fat boy to escape. Both were not going to make it and Shane thunk the quickesterest. Still, Id have just drove a truck through the horde and been done with it but we already had that conversation.

All we know is the Governor is in season 3... Could be early on, could be in the last few episodes. There's a lot that can and will happen between now and then

A bit off topic but how cool would it be to get one of these old Tonka RVs and with the new display character lineup build you own little shelf Diorama. put a chair and drink umbrella up top and your set. pop the hood and have some cotton ball smoke coming out for the ever overheating rad.

For people who read my spoilers a few pages back, I want to correct a few things. It turns out I was wrong with what happens with a few key scenes. Read below if you want the full spoilers of episode 02x12.

Episode 12 "Better Angels"

Episode begins with Dale's funeral. Rick makes a speech, intercut with Andrea, Daryl, Shane and T-Dog killing some random walkers in a field. Funeral ends with Rick saying that the group has to set aside their differences and pull together in honor of Dale. Cue theme music.

Hershel finally allows everybody to move into the house. Rick decides to let Randall loose instead of killing him, just like they had originally planned. Shane gets all mad at the idea, but Rick says it's his decision and Shane needs to shut up. Later, Carl reveals to Shane that he done ****ed up and stole Daryl's gun as well as released that walker from the swamp, but asks him not to tell anyone. While Shane is building a lookout platform, Lori comes to talk to him. She thanks him for everything he had done (saving them from Atlanta, etc.) and says she's truly sorry for all the crap that happened between them.

Shane asks Rick that he and Daryl be allowed to go dump Randall, but Rick refuses. Shane then tells Rick about what Carl did and gives him Daryl's gun. Rick has a talk with his son and basically tells him to grow up. Meanwhile, Shane sneaks into the shed and releases Randall. They secretly leave the farm and take off into the woods together. Shane tells the kid that he wants to join their group and asks Randall where it is. He tells Shane that they have a camp on a highway five miles away. Shane then proceeds to snap his neck. (CONT'D)

CONT'D) The group discovers that Randall is gone and gets all panicked. Suddenly, a bloody Shane appears. He says that Randall knocked him out and escaped (he actually smashed his head into a tree after killing Randall) and that he tried to run after him. Two pairs head out to look for Randall: Glenn & Daryl and Rick & Shane. Daryl uses his epic tracking skills to deduce that Randall and Shane actually walked together and had a scuffle near the tree with Shane's blood on it. Then, a zombie-Randall appears. Daryl misses with his crossbow, there's a fight, Glenn takes out Randall. Daryl uses his epic Sherlock skills to deduce that Randall was killed by a broken neck and zombified in spite of having no bite marks.

Shane and Rick meanwhile arrive on a field. Rick tells Shane that he knows Shane plans to kill him there. Shane plans to pin the murder on Randall and says he's better for Lori and that Rick has no idea how to fix the situation. Shane wants Rick to raise his gun so he wouldn't have to kill an unarmed man. Rick talks him out of the murder, telling him that there's still a way out of it. As Shane is lowering his gun, Rick stabs him in the chest, killing him. Carl appears, having left the farm looking for them, and sees Shane rising from the dead while Rick's back is turned. He shoots Shane in the head, attracting a nearby group of walkers. Rick and Carl stand over Shane's corpse, oblivious to the huge horde of walkers approaching the farm from the woods. End episode.

Heres a pic of zombie Randal

Im sure you have figured out what Jenner told Rick at the CDC.

I already did post the finale spoilers.

Yes, from what I have read it will be at the end and very brief, but it will somewhat fall in line
with the comic.

I Love this show but I felt that the latest episode was not well written. Why would Carl be allowed to wander around alone? I realize that it is just a TV show but it was just poorly written. I am 39 years old and if Zombies are wandering around I would not go walking in the woods by myself and I can't imagine Carl doing it or his parents not keeping closer tabs on him. Just an easy way to get the zombie from point A to point B with no rational thought behind it. Just my 2 cents worth.

Because in this show Carl is a self centered little puke who thinks of know one but himself and refuses to follow any sort of order or instruction. In the world they live in it's just a matter or time before he is zombie chow. If he acted like this in the real world it would just be a matter of time before he was a winner of a Darwin Award.
