The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

The walker isn't exactly capable of making a 10 minute walk the way a healthy human would. I don't think a few hours is out of the question for a walker to make the journey.

I don't know about that. The two that chased Rick and Sofia were both moving at a speed that kept it within a minute's worth of distance between them and Rick in the first episode of this season. Since falling down is what got it loose from the mud, it would have been at least five minutes behind Carl (who was running).

But, like I said before. I don't blame Carl for leading the Walker to the farm. I blame him more for not killing the Walker when he had a clear chance to do so. In a post apocalyptic scenario, every action and inaction has a consequence. Carl's inaction to kill the Walker lead to Dale's death.

Again, that's one way to see it (and, don't you think it's odd that it took hours for the Walker to find the farm when it wasn't any more than a 10 minute walk?). Like I said, I blame Carl for his inaction to kill the Walker more than I do of him possibly leading it to the farm.

Listen. Kids do stupid things. That's part of growing up. Taking the gun. Stupid. Throwing rocks at a walker. Stupid. Trying to get within arm's reach to shoot it. Stupid. Losing the gun and running off when it starts getting loose. Stupid.

The REAL action that's practically criminal in this world is FAILING TO REPORT A WALKER. He tried to cover his ass, even though he KNEW there was a walker in the vicinity and because of that Dale died. The kid deserves a ****ING BEATING for that last bit.

Here's another interesting question I'd like to toss out there for you guys, especially in regards to the action/inaction thing I've been talking about: They had someone on lookout on top of the RV during the day and night time when they were camped out outside of Atlanta, right? And we know they had did lookouts during the daytime while at Hershel's farm. Why wasn't there anyone on watch on the RV at Hershel's farm at night? Why did they not have someone on top of the RV that particular night? I mean, yeah, I know you can't see jack during the night, but why change that bit while staying at Hershel's farm? They did the lookout during the night at the Atlanta site and when they were on the highway after Sofia was lost. That's just inviting a herd to walk up for a nighttime all-you-can-eat-buffet. You think that they would have learned after the last time they didn't have someone on guard.

I think everyone was just too wrapped up in the Randal thing.

That's not excusable. After what happened the last time, when they had no one up on the RV keeping watch, the dead came up like it was nothing and without a warning. They would have made sure that someone was up on that RV still doing the lookout like they should have and doing their job even in the midst of a moral dilemma. This time around, they had no woods up to their camp site. Even at night, they should have had someone up on that RV.

There will always be plot holes and poor writing. You know there are zombies everywhere. You don't bother keeping track of your child, you don't bother with a look out, even after unloading an enormous amount of ammo in some zombies...oh, and you know noise attracts them.

Yup, just keep pretending your safe on a farm. A farm without even so much as a fence. That's great writing.

I don't watch for the writing though. Its still fun for me.

T-Dog..........

ya know at this point they have two options with him:

1- kill him off. Then folks will be like: who was he again?

or

2- develop a story for him. The folks will be like: who was he again?

I mean, is he supposed to be Tyrese?

Maybe Carl felt that he would have gotten in trouble by venturing out by himself, hense why he didn't tell anyone... plus the fact that he stole Daryl's gun

screw Carl, I want to find this magical healing potion everyone seems to have. It heals bullet wounds, fat lips, black eyes, punctured legs, tore open arms, sprained ankles... all within a day or two.

I'm sure that's exactly it, but if he had done all of that and not told, no problem. But having spotted a walker and said NOTHING is totally inexcusable. The kid deserves a ****ing beating to put some sense into him.

He's a long standing character in the comics and is around a long time.

Instead of killing Dale, they could have killed T-Dog if they wanted a character death. It's not like he even had a line the last four episodes. I mean really, in the scene where they are asking for feedback I was yelling at the screen, 'T-Dog now's your chance for a line, speak up!!!!'

Who?

I'm joking of course. I don't call him T-Dog, because I usually forget his name. What a waste of a character. Rick's pistol has had more lines that that guy.

A couple of things I was thinking about that I'll just throw out there...

As far as zombies go (in general), we know they are mindless and flesh-hungry. Everything we have ever seen about them points at that. So my question is, why did the walker leave the cow? It was clearly still living, and clearly still had meat on the bones... So why leave it? Why not keep chowing down? Is it possible that the walker actually intended to leave the cow in hopes of somebody more to his tastes would come along? (It's a trap!) I don't necessarily think so, but it is still an interesting point...

Also, in regards to Carl... How old is he? 10? Couple that with the fact that he is now being raised in a world without structure and "rules" that everyone around him was raised on. Then add in the fact he just witnessed his only friend-turned-walker get shot in the head (by his own father, nonetheless, who could be held responsible for her getting turned in the first place). Did I mention he also just found out his parents are having a baby? That alone can cause a child of that age to start acting out. I guess my point is there are many factors that are causing this idiot of a kid to act the way he is. Should he have stolen Daryl's gun and gone for a stroll in the woods by himself? Of course not. Should he have taunted that walker to the point where he was almost lunch? No way. Should he have told somebody about either of those things? Absolutely. But he is a kid after all, dealing with a lot in this "new" world

Don't make excuses for Carl. In war torn countries, kids mature real fast. Living in a life or death world speeds up the maturation process. TWD is a life or death world, it's a war between the walkers/living, as well as the living versus the living. Soon the living will be more brutal as resources dry up. The living will be more dangerous as they are a thinking enemy.

Yeah. He needs to mature FAST, and quite frankly needs hardened and I seriously think he needs smacking around if talking to him isn't helping. If not, shackle him in a room until he is old enough to understand.
