Wrong universe. Besides I don't think the toys would appreciate having a modded woman's razor be used to monitor your mitochondria!!!

Do this mean that everything that is considered a toy (for children/adults) is alive. That would mean that the old wooden toys found in tombs from Egypt is still alive.

Only when the spirit/soul of a crazed psychopath killer is transferred to the toy. And they have to be named Chucky!

Somewhere someone would have been able to accidentally be captured on a hidden camera that the toys would not have know about. (unless cameras is considered toys aswell)

The cameras cease to work during those moments or the mind altering drugs are not strong enough!

Considering how damage resistant the toys are in TS1 (sids room) They could easily conquer earth from the humans.

At the end of 3 I had a feeling as Andy drove away and the toys were watching him leave, that Andy would look back in the rear view window and see the toys sitting as they had been left...implying that they were never really alive, just Andy's imagination. Of course that doesn't explain all of their adventures when he is gone but for a second I was thinking it may have all been Andy's imagination.

Heres another....with what could be a spoiler if you haven't seen the movie already.

In part two when woodys arm was ripped and then pulled off, how come he couldn't move it. But when mrs. potato heads eye was left behind she could use it. wouldn't it be the same situation?

Woody also magically lost the melt mark on his forehead after TS1. And it was gone BEFORE he was spruced up by the old man.

Also, there is no way a 50s cowboy toy would be released without a gun for that holster. Granted, it would be likely lost by now, and of course Disney wouldn't want a gun in their kiddie movie, but the collector in 2 would've mentioned it being missing.

Merchandising beef: the Jessie toys on the shelves now do not have hair made of real yarn.

Could be because Mr/Ms potato head are made with detachable parts from the beginning. Every part is separate but are also a whole organism.

Actually they did. The problem is that with the figure that had yarn hair, there were other things that were inaccurate.

You'd end up having to buy two or three Jesses' and canibalize them just to get one accurate figure. And I did count, there's something like four or five different Jesse figures.

Another one to not think about along with that is: now that -- as of TS3 -- Buzz has a Disney/Pixar copyright branding on his butt, does that mean that there is an in-universe "Pixar" that produced a movie or TV show about Buzz? Hmmm?

It do have relevance, we need to know what motivates them. What if we other movies that we like did not reveal a back story about the characters.
Nightmare on elm street: a Guy with a burnt face and a metal glove attacks kids that fall asleep.....Why is he burnt, why attack only kids...?

The jason movies : big guy with hockey mask kills teenager that have sex.... Why? we never find out..

Star wars Episode 1 : Anakin is the One..... Why..."because qui-gon says so" .. Nothing about the prophesy.....

I thought about this too.

We do know toys are able to come alive in front of people (ie Sid's backyard), but we don't know how they know they aren't supposed to become "real" in front of people. The toys seem to know that they can't be "real" around people. For some unknown reason - even if the toy is delusional (like Buzz) and think they are that character or also the aliens They seem to be far less intelligent, but they know to act like a toy in front of humans.

There doesn't seem to be any reason how they know or why they must keep up the act. It just is. After all it's just a movie -- more importantly a family movie targeted to kids. Does that mean we can't question it? No, of course not. We are human - it's in our nature to ask "why?".
