I just watched The Tomorrow War on Amazon. I didn’t have very high hopes for it but I figured it would be a decent action flick. I was pleasantly surprised. I actually really enjoyed it! The suspense leading up to seeing what the “villains” look like had me on the edge of my seat. It didn’t disappoint seeing them.

So what did you think?

it's a nice popcorn flick, with all the action movie cliché's they could fit into it :)

I thought the "time Machine" didn't fit well into the story, and with the technological advances that were in that timeline
Also not explaining to the cannon fodder "soldiers" what was waiting for them did not work well and looked to forced to try make the story more exciting
They even managed to add some global warming (we know this already !) and Covid related cliché's, with the alien pilots looking like bats :)

I loved it, really great to see films like this again, yes there are some cheesy bits, some plot holes, but that's what films are like

I really wasn't that impressed with the trailer, it did nothing good for it, but I saw a review by Mr H and gave it a go, really glad I did

I have not watched a single one of the fast and furious movies. Somehow I don’t feel as if I am significantly missing out on anything! Lol
I've only watched them in passing when at places that they are on tv at, looking up at the screen now and then hoping something better was on. LOL

The action sequences were entertaining, CGI/effects were generally well done but there were quite a few plot holes and a lot of predictable/hokey dialogue & events. I guess I don't find that so easy to ignore. It was ok but I don't really see how this was much better than a lot of the other films that have come out recently many of which have received harsher criticism. Outside of the action/&visuals, it was very run of the mill and cliche. Looking past that to me feels like settling.
