This is currently streaming on Netflix.

I don't agree with all the opinions of this documentary, but it contains massive amounts of information and is sure to enrich the appreciation of movies for many.

It's something I put on one day for background noise as I was working. I didn't get much work done, because I became very interested in it.

It is indeed a great show! The finnish national tv (YLE) also broadcasted this and some of the discussed movies. :thumbsup

Occasionally the series creator Mark Cousins has something interesting to say but he gets far too excited far too often by the color palette of a film and the screen ratio/letterbox formatting. He seems to really like movies that try something different just for the sake of trying something different. His views on film are exactly what I would expect from an artsy fartsy independent film maker who hates the system.
