The Stig's credit card (from Top Gear)

So I've been catching up on all of the series of Top Gear I've missed over the years and I just finished series 8. In the second to last episode (episode 7) they had a challenge to see if the boys could build a Caterham 7 faster than the Stig could drive to the track. When stopping for gas Stig tried to pay with his credit card.

I'm wondering if anyone has the ability to make custom credit cards with the text embossed. I know there are people who can print cards, but I thought I'd check first if anyone can do the embossed text. I could supply the graphics.

Here's a screen shot:

One of the best shows on TV! :thumbsup
A replica of that card would be a great conversation piece for true Gear Heads.

I know people CAN make prop credit cards, I think it's pretty expensive to replicate the VISA, AMEX and MC cards with the holograms. I know I would like a couple different cards made as well if someone could.

I think the embosser isn't very expensive. They sell on Ebay for around $400 but I have no I dea how to get the cards made to look right to start out with though...

These wouldn't need any of the fancy stuff like holograms or even anything on the back which should make it cheaper. They could be printed first with the logo and then embossed. Just need to find someone. :)

I would love to buy an embosser and a PVC card printer. That is all you would need. But again you're looking at around $1500 total. If someone had these and they worked well, I think there would be a pretty good demand for other movie credit cards.

Great to hear that TG is loved worldwide...lol.

It's filmed a few miles up the road from me, but trying to get tickets for the filming is a nightmare.

They currently have an exhibition at the Beaulieu Motor Museum of some of their 'homemade' vehicles... including the ToyBota that made it across the English Channel.

Would love a replica of Stigs credit card too...

I have never worked with credit cards before, but I might thing you would be able heat the plastic up slightly then use a metal die and punch it from the back so the front is raised.

Does that make any sense to anyone except me?
