The Shockmaster (Old WCW vid)

I'm an old school fan so I remember when it happened. I wonder how long WCW was planning on keeping that helmet on him? I remember they got in trouble with Marvel Comics around then for their original creation, Arachnaman, who just wore a purple and yellow Spidy costume.

I'd never seen the return clip before! I stopped watching WWE around the time it went entirely PG. My tastes are (generally speaking) more indie these days. I was however very tempted to pick up one of these...

I wonder if he falls flat on his face the minute you take him out of the packaging. He should com with a section of wall, a piece of lumber and a figure of Ole Anderson to hide behind it.

The funniest part was Davey Boy Smith saying "he fell on his f*cking arse!" in the background! :lol

By the way, Shockmaster was actually Fred Ottman, the guy who went by the name Tugboat (and later on turned heel as Typhoon) in the WWE in the early 90s.

He also played the Shockmasters nephew the 'Super Shockmaster', who referred to the original as Uncle Fred. Somtimes I despair at the gimmicks people are saddled with today... then I look back at things like The Shockmaster, Oz, The Yeti, Isaak Yankem, Max Moon, BattleKat, and Mantaur and think 'Weeeelll...... maybe a midget dressed as a leprechaun isn't quite so bad'
