The Shadow Walkers Build (wip)

So finally I have started my suit build again, this is my WIP. I have been on the lair for a long time just researching this build and want to thank all the members for there post it has helped and inspired me to do big things with this build that will forever be a work in progress.

A little history about this project It all started in 2009 when I discovered the Lair and started a build that I felt was not lair quality at the time.

So finally finding myself with the time and resources to make a decent build possible, this is my progress on my suit.

Still using the Rubies mask with modification I have made it more real like on a budget, with dreads, beads, Lasers (to be used with a more proper bio when I get the time to build it) reinforcing the bio, new eye mesh, and a new paint job (to be finished). On the Body I have Gone the Mr. I route, with Rd-407 mask latex from monster makers. I am still undecided on the paint job at the moment.

The Armor part is a work in progress I will start it when i finish the latex job, But the guts for the spring loaded Knife gauntlet are finished and a housing unit is being built. the bomb gauntlet is still in the planing stages, as are the body armor, cannon, and backpack.

I have more photos but will save them for if people are interested in smaller posts on how I did it, to save on space for this post. More updates to fallow when I can get more finished, Yet again Thank You to all of you in the Lair Community for helping me with this build.

looks like your off to a good start. an remember there are no bad questions on here we all have asked them . but it is always good to do some reserch there is a post for everything here . keep up the progress .

Thanks man! I try to look it up before I post and yeah, I usually find it that's why I love this place! I hope, that is the direction I'm going but I just want to get this basic one done for Halloween. then I'm going to sculpt a bio as my first real Predator build challenge.

Okay here it goes another update, so I was playing around with the mask taking pic's and started the trophy necklace with bake clay and have began the armor.

Hopefully more updates in a few days after the armor is done.....

So I'm trying to keep this all going The armor is not as easy going as I thought it would have gone but The suit is strung up awaiting the paint and more armor is in progress.

So a Bit more got done tonight Any comments and suggestions are welcome. My paint came in today and after never have airbrushed anything a rough start up of the paint scheme started. But I will note the green would be a great color for the blood but I was going for a different color and that was a screw up on my part i was looking for a light yellow but not big bird yellow for the skin.

So Last night I finished my Base coat on the suit I'm not 100% happy with it but it was my first paint job ever with a air brush so I knew it would not come out perfect. Also the cannon, cannon arm, and back pack are sealed waiting for a bulk armor paint up. Enjoy the photos

So yet after another long night of building here is my new photo update. The skin is done considering my level of painting skills, I tried to repaint the face to match the body but it went horribly wrong so i will have to try again tomorrow with a fresher brain. the back pack is done, groin armor painted, and the shin guards are half done i need to make a back for them. Only six more days for the build to be finished its crunch time....

So Only two more days left to this build that I am allowing myself a I have found a contest and think I have a shot at wining it so I should be able to finish the suit in time. So on to the update now The armor is just about done and I just have the gauntlets and a little touch up painting to do. Tonight I also put the suit components that are finished together to see what is left to do and I am happy with how its looking. So now onto the photos....

Thanks man it was the first time with a airbrush it took a few try's but I was happy and just stopped.

Well tonight was the official last night on this as I call it "stunt suit" I have suited up once and it was great!!! I went to a costume contest and took second prize. The costume got some damage but it was nothing I could not fix after a few hours on it to also finish it off. but there are so many things i will do to make this suit much better in the end. So none the less here are the update photos.......

So today was the day of the first real suit up it was a blast......

Well I have Slacked on the build this year but now I'm off to a good start for repairs from last year's showing and some new extras on the suit. So far i have repaired the blades again and upgraded them to maple wood (The plexi kept on braking on me) and a skull bag has been added so far. Also a free standing skeleton for the dummy.

So after a little trial and error last year i found out don't cheap out on your dummy mine exploded all it stuffing out but since
I had to redo it i might as well make it better, stronger, more enhanced....

Total price on this was about 50 bucks and the result is now it can be properly displayed when not in use.

So a bit of a update to the Suit mods for this year new blades made out of wood i am hoping that they will not brake this time the plexi kept on breaking on me so this time i used maple wood. I have also added light to the bomb gauntlet, laser canon and eyes of the mask. It is a simple led set up but i feel it adds a little something to it until i can learn the adurino i bought to control some things. Also with the set up i added tactical switches to control the laser and cannon to fire with the push of a button, i had fears that last year since it was always on i would hit someone in the eyes and now i have more control of the effect of it. The last thing i did with it was rework and repair the armor till i get the chance later in the year to make a few different armor setups. the plan is to make one out of leather for a old style predator and a stronger one using syntra plastic. thanks for taking the time to read this comments are always welcome so here are the photos.
