Yap, both SH v1 and KR ones have gaps.
But, judging from the blade width and the way in which the lip section is completely flat, I think KR is the match.

Does anyone else get the feeling that this might be Leia passing on her saber? I seem to remember to some Jedi lore that Padawan's would model their sabers on the ones of their masters. Not that Luke was her master but she had to have some training from him. Maybe a tribute to Anakin?

My speculation is Rey practicing with the trainer bot with her staff, maybe got zapped because no blaster deflection with staff hence the red bandage? Then leia comes down the ramp of falcon or tantive IV with the graflex she has repaired for Rey. Presents it to her with encouraging words and our hero is back in the fight cutting down trees with force saber toss/return.

Also, love this thread and cant wait to see what you all do to recreate this saber. I'm chomping at the bit to get a romans to make one for myself to go next to my vintage ANH so I kinda have the alpha and omega versions of the graflex.
Oh one more idea! Maybe a magnetic end cap for display, remove for sound holes and maybe recharge port? I have a cap like that on an old korbanth LS6 converted by LDM sabers. Could be an option here, use the cap as a kill key.
