The Relic "Kothoga" Movie Prop

ah yes, the tiny one with the pegasus kit, saw that in person only after I had completed the sculpt and was happy to see that for the most part I had done a good job. The skull base is open to interpretation due to the fact that it's never fully exposed in the movie. I always wondered if the sculptor for the kit had more info provided by the studio to make his version.

Anyways, now that I'm a full member I've been meaning to post this for sale in the junkyard. I'll get to that in a bit or you can head over to my website where I have it for sale, let me know if you want a raw unpainted cast as only the painted are in my store.

Was just thinking about this thing this morning after seeing Alan Castillos newest collection piece. The little statue caught my eye and started the gears turning but then, here it is. Beautiful as can be. WOW I love this forum!

Funny you should mention that. It was Kevin's astonishing sculpt that 'inspired' me to go looking for the kit :lol

It's the tiny statue that comes with the Pegasus Kothoga model kit.

Yep.

Kit makers usually have access to the original pieces and take detailed measurements / photos / scans etc.

Kevin, yours is spot on to the movie, and a work of art (y)thumbsup !

Hey guys. I'm the collector who commissioned Kevin to do this piece and I have to say, it came out even better than I imagined. You can clearly see from the pics that he absolutely nailed it. I ended up purchasing a museum dome to display it in, so once I get the opportunity, I'll post some pics of it. For those of you that bought one from Kevin, the dome is a readily available size - 15" tall, 10" diameter - and looks like it was made for the Kothoga.

Great paint job on yours Howlrunner! I'd love to see what the other buyers have done with their raw casts as well.
