The phantom zone

I'm trying to find a high res picture of the phantom zone from Superman the movie any help would be great

I would suggest this was done by filming the actors, then rear projecting them onto a screen. The main capture camera moved around that on some form of motion control rig. From there it would have been optically composited (older blue screen technology) into the back ground of space.

It is a very cool sequence in both S1 and 2.
