The People vs George Lucas

Terrible.

Seriously, signing "George Lucas raped our childhood" is the epitome of everything that's wrong with fandom. It's like the folks who jump in threads like this bitching about the prequels.

If you didn't like the prequels, fine. Get over it. It didn't change what you grew up with.

umm..are they serious?
Rape is not the proper term for whatever angst they feel.
I didn't like the Prequels either, but hey - nobody is forcing me to watch em, buy em, support em.
No matter how much I really enjoy the original trilogy, I've seen them sooo many times that I can fall asleep before Luke gets to the Cantina haha.

Oh, no argument there. The refrain of "George Lucas raped my childhood" is pretty ridiculous. Doubly so if you write and publicly sing a song about it. But I can certainly sympathize with the underlying sentiment. There's much to be loved about the Star Wars universe that is subsequently undercut by the bulk of Star Wars product made after about 1999.

And Han shooting second...and Boba Fett's voice being replaced...and old Anakin being replaced with a cardboard cutout...and Lapti Nek being replaced with Jedi Rocks...and flipping the rear audio channels on ANH...and other lousy coloring jobs...

Did anyone notice that most complaining had foreign accents or spoke a foreign language? Maybe the deep underlying tone is that they hate the United States as represented by George Lucas? Get it? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

<I have no idea what I am talking about!>

Snore... why didn't those "people" use their energy to make something new and interesting instead of just crying "me, me, me, look at me".

Okay, I forgot THREE. Han shooting second, the Anakin thing and the audio. I've already commented on the colo. The rest was pure fun!

all the special edition additions were lame. The clean up was decent and has gotten better with each release, but there are still issues.

And once again another film that poorly portrays the fans as being uber geeks that do nothing, but dress in costumes all the time and play Star Wars. Why do they have to pick some of the most extreme-looking people to talk on-camera? Some of them make us look REALLY bad.
