Nice post on military items.

It's been said, that I have an eclectic collection of vintage parts & hunting style and I think thats a fair essessment, I guess my main interest is vintage parts & props from the OT which would be 95% of my collection & hunting, however I do have a few non OT vintage items & props that spark my interest.

Update for the vintage Flight Helmet Hybrid Red-5 X-Wing Helmet Build, we finally decided to go with the ANH helmet, we thought the lighter weathering would give the best visual for the vintage helmet components, I gave Dustin newmagrathea a free hand with selecting the best variation based on reference pics available and color matching.

Dustin started the painting of the helmet with the mohawk yellow pin stripes, with hours of prep and minutes of painting lol!!

Vintage Flight Helmet Hybrid Red-5 X-Wing Helmet Build

Update for the vintage Flight Helmet Hybrid Red-5 X-Wing Helmet Build, Dustin newmagrathea painted the side clasp covers grey sections along with the grey pin lines around the slider area, we've now completed all grey painting, now onto the painting of the black details.

Dustin had to put tape down to protect the areas painted where the sliders track and had to push them from the back, carefully inch them along a slow process but the results look great, also we're planning to put a semi gloss clear coat down after the painting of the livery is done, which should improve the durability slightly.

Update for the vintage Flight Helmet Hybrid Red-5 X-Wing Helmet Build, Dustin newmagrathea had to workout a solution for the vintage Ear Muff side discs & prop decals, after discussing a few options Dustin did a test using 2x decals, which turned out looking awesome, keeping the feel of prop, we've now ordered extra decals for the other side.

Vintage Rotolite Penny Arcade Machine (ANH vintage Dome Lamps & Bezels)

I have something very very special to share, I hunted these 2x vintage Rotolite Penny Arcade Machines, one machine accepts 1 Penny Coin the other has been modified to accept 2 Penny Coin, these vintage Rotolite Penny Arcade Machines were used back in the 1960's in Penny Arcades & Fun Parlors, they are built with a solid timber cabinet and weigh approximately 24kg.

The vintage Rotolite Penny Arcade Machines have been identified as a source for the vintage Dome Lamps & Bezels used in ANH in a range of props & set dressing, including;

The vintage Rotolite Penny Arcade Machine has 16x vintage Dome Lamps & Bezels;

4x Red
4x Yellow
4x Green
2x Blue
2x White

I currently have both vintage Rotolite Penny Arcade Machines displayed, I also know of others in the community who have one of these machines.
