The movie "Gamer"... would you reccommend it?

I like great entertaining flicks here and there. But what is attracting me toward watching it partially is Michael C. Hall whom which I love watching on Dexter. I know Gerard Butler is cool too, but don't know if this film is an ultra fizzle or if it's actually pretty good? The premise reads interesting. I just don't know of anyone who has seen it to gauge on.

Anyone here seen it with a non-spoiler review?

I'll say yes. I thought the movie was an okay popcorn flick. Interesting premise, much akin to Running Man...done better.

I dunno, I loved Michael's character but the rest of the film left me unimpressed. It's a flashy movie though, off colors, very gritty.. I don't feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life, but I sure won't be watching it again any time soon..

the action scenes are pretty good... but its really just boring during the scenes where they're trying to get the story going...would have probably been better if they just focused on the action

personally i wouldnt recommend it at all, there are better movies out there to waste your time on.

Great action, lot's of gore, just turn off your brain and kick back it's one of those kinda flicks. I liked it a lot personally, I'm an action junkie.

Well, if you loved Transformers one can assume you'll pretty much like anything.
:lol

Give me more credit than that, man.

And just because you hated Transformers doesn't automatically make it a bad film.

Anyway back on topic, I will give "Gamer" a try. It just looked like a semi-fun film to take me away from mundane real life for a couple hours.

Yes, it was good.

Its extremely disturbing in that its easy to believe that something like that (mainly "Society") could really happen in the future.

The waffle-in-syrup-in-mouth scene was gross gross.

I enjoyed Gamer, personally. I found Michael C Hall's character to be a bit... much, at times, but it was entertaining.

Very reminiscent of the Running Man and very depressing in some sense. I still enjoyed it and would recommend it.

I wonder if they did base it off the original Steven King story that was made into Running man if it has that feel to it, that short story was depressing as can be. I might have to try and catch this one if i can find it as a rental.
