The Last Starfighter screen cap request

I was wondering if anyone could capture any and all frames of the scene where the assassin (Marc Alaimo) tries to kill Alex. Specifically after a decent shot of the laser pistol.

Thank you.

haven't seen the film for some time, did you mean this one?

there are some small bits on it that look like found stuff, like small circuitry. The baseshape looks be have been wood as there is woodgrain all over it.

Nope, that is the sidearm of the starfighters. I'm looking for the shiny compact laser pistol the assassin/hitchhiker used to try and kill Alex. I'm fairly certain it was from another production, but I won't know for sure until I can see some decent caps of it.

:)

Wow. Cool. THANK YOU!! Since the BR blaster is all found out and exposed now days, this is my new "blaster mystery" that I am going to try and figure out.

I ordered the DVD yesterday.

This doesn't look like what I thought it was though, so now I need to find out who built it, and if it was ever used in any other production.

I thought it might have turned up in Firefly as parts of "heart of gold" as Burgess' laser!

Definately not.

Thank you, I'll try to keep notes in this thread. I definately remembered it being cool, so to see it in all it's capped screen glory is very nice.

Gotta fine out what the other side looks like too!

PS- modern props? Is that an LA prop house?

IMO, the butt of the pistol grip (the white plate with 2 screw holes) looks kinda like the (don't laugh) little support thingies under a toilet seat...

Ya know what, it kind of does! I thought it had a certain "found item" quality about it. The whole blaster has that look though. I'm planning to start my hunting very soon.

Cool man- Keep us updated on this. I have a bit of a LSF collection going and would love to see this come to light. I have the Zandozan animatron if pics would be of help but not the gun-

Loved that movie. Would be awesome to do a complete last star fighter costume. I never seen anyone do one.

I had my hands on a complete star fighter costume at one time! The gun was made out of wood. I could kick myself now for not getting it.
