Limited Run The Last Jedi: Rose's Resistance Ring (Rebellion symbol signet ring)

So... not anymore? I don't see where you said that changed from Page 3.

We have a metal ring on order, and we wanted to make this a metal ring. After looking at better screen caps, the original isn't a metal ring.

As much as people want the hero prop to be metal, it's not. It's a 3D print. There are at least two rings in the movie. The one Rose wears is NOT the same as the one broom boy wears. There is absolutely no reason to think that they would go to the trouble of casting this prop in metal.

The hero prop is painted, gold. All the same color. If you make the ring metal, it won't look like the hero prop. It will look like a metal part slapped on a painted part. Inaccurate.

We could cast our ring in metal, and we may down the line, but for now it will be as the hero prop.

This is very much like the Ep. 1 Obi saber. It was all "metal, metal, metal" from fans.....then people gathered that the black parts were delrin plastic, and that was then all the rage.

We are all about the hero prop, as it was made.

Please remove me from the list as well. I completely understand that the original prop was a 3D print. Thanks!

I am not convinced the original was 3D printed based on the currently available evidence. Especially considering that a light sanding of the found part reveals ... brass. Seems more likely they cut a brass plate with the design and affixed it to the top of the iris, whose casing is, in fact, the main casing itself.

I'm only talking about the ring itself. This prop is 4 parts, all gold colored parts (3 out of the 4) are the same gold color.

There is really no reason to believe that they would cast a metal ring, it makes no sense. We really only see the lens part and the Rebel symbol inside on camera. The ring itself could be anything, and since there are a confirmed 2 different versions, it makes even more sense to keep it simple.

If an all metal ring is the way to go, I would expect that the prop ring itself be cast in brass, the lens piece be stripped of its black coating (minus both the aperture and inside of the lens piece) and the lens overlay be brass. That's WAY more work than should be expected for the real prop.

Anything short of all that work will have you looking at the hero prop and a replica and seeing a very big difference in colors. And that is assuming that a cast metal ring matches the striped down lens piece.

Hero prop lens piece in hand. We now have a complete understanding on how this prop was assembled. More to come!

List updated.

All you need to do to get on the list is post or PM us. We will add you and let you know when we are ready for payment.

This prop is absolutely 4 parts. We will have each and every SEPARATE part put together for an accurate prop.

The lens pieces are on order, and we know how those are put together to make the accurate prop.

We are getting very close. ;)

Sorry, but I was wanting a metal ring. Please remove me. Thanks and good luck with your project!!

Revising my interest to 1 ring (originally I mentioned two). Though a metal version would be nice, I'd rather save $ and get this version.

Like the others I also assumed the ring would be metal not plastic...please remove me from the interest list, sorry.
