The Last Airbender: Aang and Zuko for my kids

The kids dropped the Star Wars ideas they had and opted for The Last Airbender (animation version) costumes.

I've been working on them for a while, but took some photos for comparison purposes and thought I'd throw them up here...

My oldest wanted Zuko:

And Aang's first fitting:

My little guy there wants to shave his head and paint the arrow on. :lol We're still debating on letting him do that. I've told him he could get a really close buzz, since he's so blond it would look shaved...

As for the shaving - he's only 9 so it's not the length as much as the razor on his head and the possibility of razor burn. I guess we could get it done professionally, but, I'm still nervous about it.

We'll see.

Nice! I shave my head regularly to keep my mohawk trimmed. It's no big deal really especially if you have an electric razor

My son and I love the show and I know he'd love a costume like that. He does Taekwondo and when I've watched him doing it I can see he's dying to break out into fire bending.

Spent the last 2 weeks working on a pirate costume for a friend of mine, but got a little bit of this done:
