There's a major Klingon prop coming up on It's a Wrap that has never been available in ANY form before. I would like to try to coordinate some sort group buy when it goes up, where everyone would pay a set amount, and get a free copy after it's repaired and molded.

It sounds like it won't be going up for awhile, so we have time to plan, and maybe put together a private yahoo group to hammer out the details. PM me here or email me @ SgtFang@aol.com

This is a very prominent, one of a kind piece and we CANNOT risk it falling into a private collection where it'll never be seen again.

What would you like to know? I'm trying to keep this semi-quiet right now because we've got a few members here who just lurk and use this place for tips/ leads to get things that they'll never share with the rest of us.

With this item finally going up for sale after 20 years, it HAS to fall into friendly hands.

If it's 20 years old than it isn't really KLINGON. 20 years ago a KLINGON was just a non-white guy without a star fleet outfit. I think the KLINGONs from the conventions I go to would agree.:lol

Well, there's no way of knowing until we actually win it. I've been trying to think a various ways, maybe where the people who want in, would make a "pledge" or something like a highest bid until there's enough to gaurantee winning it. If we get it for less than the pledged amount, then the final cost of shipping and materials would just be divided up equally among the group and each one would just send their share when the time comes.

Has anyone ever organized something like this for a big active project or other group buy type of thing? Heh, Im all ears!
