The Jupiter 2 launch pad and gantry towers

IRRITATING QUESTION:

See the line on the bottom of the saucer????  Could it be the Chariot ramp?  I 'heard' it was "ONLY" on the 10 foot job.  So what gives??  I did some comparisons of the Derelict sets vs the Fantastic Voyage sets and the brain cells look a LOT like the derelict sets.  If so, it had to be a four foot model used in these shots.

Uggghhhh...... :cry

Curse you Y for bringing up this subject AGAIN .... :angry

Twas the four footer , enough said. :confused

Are ya trolling again? ;)

I've seen the restored miniature in the Seattle SF Museum, very nice. They don't allow photography unfortunately. :(

If you haven't already, check out the photos in Phil Broad's "cloudster" site... some shots of the unrestored gantry and j2 miniature as it survived from the City under the Sea show they used it on.

You can find some photos of the pod dropper J2 and launch gantry at the SFM HERE

Also there are some pictures of it in transition from Jein's possession to SFM's.

LOL :lol Actually, I only heard ONE SOURCE say anything about that, and have NEVER heard anybody else mention it. I say it was a handling scratch on the model. My first video alteration/tweaking/sharpening/overcontrasting was with that clip. I could never find other connecting lines or anything that WOULD have verified this. The scale of the Derelict/Fantastic Voyage set and the behind the scenes stuff verify the 4 foot job was used - which was MY argument Waaaaaay back in 2003 when this was first mentioned.

Trolling?????? Naaa. Lets just say seeing if anybody ELSE had heard that story, or could actually verify it. Reactor hatch?? I really dunno. It won't be on mine.

Thanks so much, for these great color photos.

BTW, on the Museum page link you gave: down on the lower left, where it says 'Special Offer'...Fantastic Voyage - the photo they use is of "The Land of the Giant's" Spindrift. :wacko
