:coolWe had a group set up where we would fuse iron man suits with other characters, here is my iron pred mk 1. Will get some pics up of the other ones soon as well as wip pics of the build process. Also fitted was a wireless loudspeaker system pre loaded with predator clicks and roars.

Here's a simple example of how everything was hinged. Pepsi bottles cut below the neck, pushed through a rectangle of the bottle body with a hole cut in. Plastic basin washers were positioned to let it move freely, then a hole cut out of a sink strainer to make a flush pivot point. Another plastic washer was added before a slightly cut down bottle neck was screwed on. Pics don't show the plastic basin washers because they were added retrospectively. Oh yeah, mk III thighs with mk IV shins in case anyone wondered.

Also, some may notice the mk IV chest and back combo is fitted differently to how it should be. I lift heavy so my back and chest were way too big for a regular scale. I decided to upscale everything on the jf custom foam templates by 10% and fitted the chest to the back in a war machine style.

I really like what you guys did. I like these fusion builds like the vader/batman and the Ironbat (that I don't think got made). Nicely executed! :thumbsup

Looks great, I love the idea of combining Iron man with other characters. Great execution from the whole group.

Cheers guys, our group decided there are too many iron man movie replicas and it just seemed silly to put all that effort in to be the same. I drew up a concept for iron spawn that I'll post up later, maybe it'll inspire someone because personally I think it would look insane. However with my gorilla esque proportions it wasn't to be. Settled on iron wolverine before switching to iron pred.

About 70% of the work was done in the last 3 weeks. No real concept work was done and as with my gears of war Theron build I pretty much winged it. I like to let things grow organically and all the plastics are cut symmetrically and heat formed by hand and eye. I'd like to think I have a few touches and methods that I came up with that others can apply for themselves in certain situations. The pivot joints in particular are built like tanks.

This is just incredible. Great work. Hope to see others inspired from this to create individual ideas. I know I am....just have to come up with an idea!

Wore my pred suit out to the clubs in our city last night, despite the reputation its gathered for being an unsavoury place full of scum bags. It went down really well and no one tried to fight me this time round so that was a success in my book ha ha.

I've got a few images from someone's deviant art ( forget the name but pics are watermarked so full credit to him) of his concepts. Iron classic Spider-Man/wolverine/deadpool/green lantern/flash/superman/cap America. He even drew up Iron president Washington. There's loads of ways to tweak them. I'm considering a storm/clone trooper mash up at some point too. Maybe mix it with transformer themes.
