Im fairly sure the same bayonet has been used in movies so ill post it here.

I went through some boxes of old stuff and found this bayonet my uncle gave me a long time ago, the number engraved on the handle is 19997 and the blade has a small P with a circle around it , google came up empty

Does anyone know more about this piece?
ill add a picture later

Without a picture it's kinda hard but the small p circled means it was made at the Poole Royal Ordinance Factory

Looks like a Lee Enfield bayonet, especially given where it was made. Except the grip material looks different.

Does look like what you mentioned now that I used Google :D

Asked a page on facebook and they said , i qoute "these bayonets were used during WWI in czech, bulgaria, poland and other countries"

It's actually French.
Sabre–baïonnette modèle 1892 du deuxième (introduced in 1912) used on the Mle. 1892 "Berthier" rifle and carbine.

Total length: 514 mm
Length blade : 392 mm
Inside length ring : 13 mm

There are factories, three major manufacturers were:
Manufacture Impériale de Chatelleraut
Manufacture Impériale de St.-Etienne
Manufacture Impériale de Tulle

Maybe your example just has the stamps in a different area, it's not uncommon.

Thanks for the info guys, i assume because it was WW1 a lot was still done by hand so it could be placed differently (the numbers)
