The Falcon & Winter Soldier (tv series)

I also wondered that because I really dig the character, but he doesn't have any of the super soldier strengths that Cap had. I like a lot of characters, but for some reason I really like characters that don't have powers, but fight alongside the ones who do. I can't explain it.

I love the part in the trailer where Falcon flies up and says "that little girl whooped you!"

they do a pretty good job in the marvel movies showing the "regular" folks keeping pace with the roided out alien monstrosities.

I was just watching the end fight in endgame this evening again, and at one point Sam is literally knocking over one of the 12' tall ape monster things, and stabbing it to death with his flight suit's wings.

He's a perfectly capable character to have fill the shoes of Cap. :D

If they can capture the chemistry that bucky and falcon had in Civil War (and it looks like it will) this is going to be fantastic
In Civil War it was a perfect bromance triangle. It simmered as passive aggression and percolated at the moment Sam and Bucky were webbed on the ground and Sam simply said, "I hate you." That line still makes me laugh.

" I hate you " and "can you move your seat up" ...so good. This show is gonna be great.

The new trailer has me pretty hyped! I'm wondering who's funeral Sam is speaking at, tho? Is it Steve Rogers? Or maybe Isiah Bradley's and this is how they bring in Elijah Bradley. That would be so awesome.

I say this, a lot, but this only affirms that they need to make a Kyle Reese movie with Sebastian Stan in the role. Luke Skywalker be damned!

Semi-spoiler from one of the trailers. I'm still not sure how I feel about the fact that the guy from the Apple store in Winter Soldier is Noobmaster69, who was giving Korg such a hard time in Endgame. I do like that he blames the handle on his cousin. On the one hand, I like putting a face to the name. On the other, I feel -- as with Star Wars -- not everything needs to be tied together with a neat little bow. On the third hand, I'm glad it is who it is, somehow. So... mixed.

I read something the other night where they said that commercial probably isn't canon, just making something funny out of those scenes in the movie.

Dammit -- first AoS, then the Netflix series. Marvel, don't do something if it's not going to be part of the universe you're creating.

AoS and the Netflix shows weren't done by Marvel Studios proper, so that's why they're not wholly part of the MCU.

I just watched the first episode and I defy anyone not to want their own Red Wing after watching that opener!!
Also this has to be a first for the MCU, the first entry into MCU canon that has an opening scene with someone ironing!!

The episode worked well as set up for the larger story and also gave us some more details on Sam and Bucky's past and family.
A solid opener which, with the inclusion of Henry Jackman's score felt like a continuation of the First Avenger, Winter Solider, Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame through line for these two characters and the wider MCU.
Looking forward to a re-watch with my other half tomorrow.

Okay, I SWEAR I searched for this thread and it did not come up.

I absolutely love it so far. I'm glad to see that they're not shying away from dealing with Bucky's PTSD and being a man out of time (seriously, his storyline is already breaking my heart). I also love that they're showing Sam's family and how he's having to come to terms with the fact that not everything can be solved with a charming smile and a quip now that he's an Avenger.

I'm really excited to see where this show takes us.

Started kind of slow for me. Also don’t need the language in it for a family oriented show. Not sure that I’m sold I’m this one.
