The Detolf from Ikea comes in black/brown now

Yes! The last time I was there I saw all 3 colors: black, brown/tan, and white. At first I thought the white was silver. Made me wanna trade my tan ones for cool black ones...

That is great! I already have 4 tan ones, but I was planning to get 2 more, and the black will be perfect. I always assumed I would have to paint the tan ones if I wanted another color.

Isn't it great? I've been wanting to get a couple of these for a few months, but the $250 shipping price has deterred me. I hope to head up that way in the next week or so - be trying to talk my wife into buying one for Father's Day.

Yup, I picked up the black/brown one myself. Oh, and be warned: the "white" is actually an off light grey. :unsure

Picked up a black/brown one the other day, and I have to say it is brilliant to display props on, along with other things. And it's such a bloody good price! I'll probably pick up another one in a week or so. Also have to pick up the lighting system, which should look nice.

I recommend it to anyone who's run out of display space, or needs display space.

The price dropped. I bought a black one about 7 years ago when they were $99.

Might have to pick a up a few more at the current price. :thumbsup

I'm thinking of getting a few of these for my modeling room. It makes it much easier to display my models this way. And, they're in enclosed cases and I don't have to worry about people playing with them or them falling off a shelf.

There is a very big difference between countries.

I coverted all the prices to US$

Netherlands $52.16 (what I paid)
USA $59.99
UK $68.60
Canada $70.65
Sweden $71.44 (It's more expensive in Sweden where Ikea comes from)
Australia $151.32 (Yes, it's coverted to US$ and yes, almost three times as much as in Holland!!!)

the black isn't true black though... it's like a super dark brown.

at least it's not as black as the ones that i painted myself.
