Anyone have any info on the prop used in The Day of The Jackal ?
would be awesome to reproduce that crutch/rifle.

I recently found out that my dad made the rifle used in this film when he was an apprentice engineer (obviously decades ago). Apparently he was told that it had to be in working order (i.e. it had to actually fire). If your interested in any info I'm not sure how much he'd be able to remember about the actual specifics of the gun but I'm sure he could tell you which company made it etc

I always thought that was a cool gun ever since my dad took me to see the movie as a youngster. I have the movie in my DVD collection. As for the gun, I was able to find a similar looking air-rifle in the past. I never bought one though. Would love information on the original maker. A great thriller, a great gun!

I think I have some photos of that gun. I had always thought it would be a cool item to replicate.
