The Dark Knight Rises-Police License Plate

Just picked this up from someone who worked on the film. I also obtained an production made but unused Gotham Police door emblem and will post pictures soon.

I think this may be from 2nd movie. None of the DRK plates I have set photos of had 4 holes, only 2 at the top. It also looks more like a 2nd movie plate.

I think your right. Its also got the white pronounced ridge around the edge.

How could I verify it? I saw this picture of several cars with one having a plate with the darker blue on the bottom while others are lighter.

You wont find a DKR plate with more than 2 holes.

I spoke to seller who advised both are Rises production pieces.

I could waste my time and post a photo of every single vehicle, be it GCPD car, Osh-Kosh truck, etc. they used in Pittsburgh, LA and NY to show you that the DKR plates only had 2 holes in them...but you're going to have to take my word for it.

All the DK plates have 4 holes, the DKR's have 2. The white surround at the bottom is another difference.

I have no intent to anger the "prop pros" on this site. I can only go by what I was told by seller. I am actually glad to see that it Is from The Dark Knight as that is my favorite of the three Nolan films.

There's no anger in those words...just reality.

You are better off with a DK plate as they are far rarer.
