...Which means we need to get on the ball now and look ahead to any rare guns that are few in number that would make good Star Wars guns in the future...thanks for the heads up...thats my favorite of all the blasters so far...especially after losing an auction the other day on a RO72Okay just a little frustrated rant.....
My dad has big collection of old American Rifleman magazines. And one day I'm flipping through, and saw this gun. Immediately I thought, 'oh that would make a good Star Wars gun.' Took a picture. And never got around sketching up something. View attachment 1539050
Then The Mandalorian cones out.......and I see his gun.....
Of course it was, like another hundred of small things in these series. Still coolThat imagery was 100% intentional. No "hmmmm" about it.
It seems to me that BF is played as an "Has-Been" throughout the episode. Mando is the guyThere is a ton of lines in this episode that point "the way" for Mando...it's almost too obvious but i really hope they do it....A lot of contrasts to Boba as well. Boba had a trainer in the Tusken female...Mando has the Armorer...Boba is realizing his need for a tribe...Mando seems to be getting kicked out of one. Boba likes to get things...Mando humbly gives things away(Beskar Spear) and didn't want it for himself but for Grogu.
Mando is everything we want in a Hero. Humble, dedicated, committed, compassionate but an absolute beast when he needs to be. In season 1 of Mando i thought he would become a Jedi . After seeing this episode...i'm convinced He might want to learn, in order to be close to Grogu but may find his attachment to Grogu might hurt him in the long run.
It's in the Bad Batch as wellOf course it was, like another hundred of small things in these series. Still cool
This is cool too, I want one

If you re watch... his directing is good its the weak slow paced stories he's having with shooting.
The shots are set up nicely and he uses the rule of thirds well..
You can't blame a director well I guess you can but he will be working with or against a tight storyboard.
I'll agree he's technically proficient with directing, though some of his action sequences and camera setups are a bit film schoolish. My biggest complaint, and I think this applies to all of the under performing SW films/shows, is he should be making a Star Wars show, not a Robert Rodriguez show. Same issue with JJ, he made JJ Abrams movies, not Star Wars movies. The creative should not be about the director and to apply someone's distinctive style to it betrays the world that has already been built. I think that's where Favreau and Bryce are successful, they're good directors but they don't have a trademark shot/style/******* actor that they are compelled to place in every movie they make. I would almost include Ron Howard as well, but he always throws Clint in somewhere.
At first, I thought we had switched planets, and that was a Zygerrian dragon and Zygerrian ziggurats in the background.Of course it was, like another hundred of small things in these series. Still cool
This is cool too, I want one

Thats certainly an interesting chest plate she's wearing
That looks like a bedspread I used to have... lol
Yeah it honestly was a super weird choice to dedicate an entire (50min!) episode to Mando in the middle of a show about Boba Fett. The episode was great but it didn’t do any service to Fett’s story and it certainly didn’t seem to do any favors to Boba Fett himself. It really only confirms how many of us feel and highlighted the very contrasts we’ve been discussing. As the waves of excitement from episode 5 recede, my feeling is giddy excitement for The Mandalorian and primarily disappointment for TBOBF. I have never seen a show demonstrate all that's wrong with it in the middle of the season.
Mando- respected and intimidating. Heck, even his silhouette is awesome in the meat locker scene! Boba- forced to tell everyone his name (including droids)
Mando- says less and his words have more meaning. Snappy one liners and catch phrase- "Wizard." " I can bring you in warm..." Boba- talks too much - "Go make baby Banthas."
Mando- thrilling high speed flight on a starfighter. Boba- plodding along on a Bantha.
Mando- takes down a group of thugs singlehandedly. Boba- gets beat up and dragged back to the palace for treatment.
Mando- thrilling and at times heartwarming- excellent pacing and music with properly placed exotic characters in other worlds. Boba- slow, disjointed, poorly paced with forgettable supporting cast.
This episode seems to reaffirm that TBOBF was slapped together while waiting for the next season of Mando. I kind of wish they would have left Boba alone. I really like Tem but Pedro demonstrates more emotion behind a helmet than Tem does without. Unfortunately, I am afraid that the next two episodes of TBOBF can't live up to the excitement we just felt yesterday. (I am still in it to the end but conflicted.)
Ouch!I've heard rumors that Boba Fett might have a cameo in his own show...
I had not fallen out of love of Mando but its been a while and sorely wanted this Bad Ass Boba intent on revenge..It seems to me that BF is played as an "Has-Been" throughout the episode. Mando is the guy![]()
pretty sure in rebels sabine explains that
Size matters not! Small my blaster is, but powerful in shooting is it.Halliwax look at the size comparison between Mando's blaster and the Dark Saber!!!
This is the job of a director of photography, not the director. The director will communicate his vision to a DP, yes, but ultimately not his role. A director’s job on set is primarily dealing with the actors. Which…he’s doing a terrible job of. It’s like he’s having them read their line out once and then immediately calling, “cut, print, that’s a DC! Moving on.”The shots are set up nicely and he uses the rule of thirds well..
